- This video explain that why we need to draw shear force and bending moment diagram. Shear force diagram is basically drawn in order to know that where we have maximum shear stress and accordingly we provide our shear reinforcement or stirrups, whereas the bending moment diagram is drawn in order to know how much longitudinal reinforcement is needed for the beam to take the upcoming load.
