#1 Fan here! What an incredible panel. Thank you for your time and expertise. Continually amazed at the heart and soul that goes into your craft. Thanks for giving back and being truly wonderful human beings :)
Bums me out when they talked about the mistakes interns make about being the right kind of quiet. I made pretty much all the mistakes they stated during my own placements lol. No wonder I never got hired. *sigh*
I love this talk but kind of wish there'd be more female and other racial representation. Just a couple of - very talented - white guys talking. Could be more interesting to represent 'people' more.
You realize it's not like Full Sail went out and said "let's get all white guys for our panel". There is more white males interested in Audio Post than there are women or people of color are interested in Audio Post. That could be a possibility in this and any other situation. If we had less people like you in the world, it would definitely be a better place.
Hey Jane, yes (in the UK at least) the sound industry is almost exclusively white males. there are some women but its not a lot! I'm afraid i've never met a black sound designer in the industry, although have met a couple of asian guys. But its 95% pasty white guys working on their studio tans (me included)
