Man... that's just how the friendzone works. At vulnerable times you'd start to wonder if dissapearing from their side would change anything at all, and at that point you slowly start taking your distance and backing out of the usual intimacy because you see them happy with that someone, now you want to keep it that way.
I took the leap, talked it out, confessed all my feelings and disappeared from their life. We haven't talked for 4 months now. She probably miss the good times from our friendship, but It will never be as devastating for her as it is for me. After all, she probably feel bad about it as it's out of her control as much it's out of mine. She doesn't feel the same and that's a bummer. In these moments you have to do what's best for you and leave the illusion behind so you can move forward.
@@ManilockPi Yes, take it one step at a time. If staying only hurts you then it's best to let go and prioritize yourself, acceptance is a hard pill to swallow but its the best medicine to move forward in life.

I think sweet lemon candy is a fitting description for friendzone situation in general😅 You're stuck in this zone between sweet because you and ‘your crush’ are closer than ever because you're their best friend and knows everything about them, had a history “as old as time” (my favourite part) but also bittersweet knowing you can never be more than that.

This hits home in a different way. My best friend has a feelings for me but I can't reciprocate those feelings. I'm a girl and gay. I only found out recently found out that he has romantic feelings towards me. He accidentally confessed to me. He knows that Im gay but guess you can't control feelings.. I really hope this doesn't end our friendship. Because he is the first person ever who I ever really gained my trust wholeheartedly and me feel like it's actually OK and safe to share my thoughts without being riddiculed for having them.
