- Hi guys!! We wanted to make this video about the engineering dorm at VT. When we were making our college decisions it was super hard to find anything about the building or what it's like here so we wanted to give our own perspective! The first part is a Q&A and then after that we show some dorm rooms (guys and girls) and all around the building. Enjoy me and my frens THANKS FOR WATCHINGGG GOKIES!!!
Honestly, this is the best video regarding this dorm that I've seen. I've watched all of the ones from VT, but none are as in-depth as this one.

Hi ! This is great ! Thank you! Do you know if there's a way to choose a corner room ? Also, are the room #'s according to the floor... for instance is room #619 the 6th floor ?
Thanks! Yes the room numbers are according to the floor number, as for picking a corner room, its hard to tell, all I know is that our friends corner room ended in 71 and thats on the High Side of Hoge near Pritchard. Im not sure what the other corner room numbers are in the other parts of the building.

Hey so I’m going to be starting my first yea in August, and I’m planning on going to Galileo. In order to find a roommate should I use insta, the VT thingy they provide, or just wait until they assign me a roommate?
I would say trying to find someone online either through the instagram, facebook, groupme groups, etc would most likely find you a better roommate than just going random, but also going random isn't terrible.. it's just very random haha
Definitely don't wait to be "assigned" a roommate though, if you do think you'll go random or just maybe haven't found someone yet, still fill out the VT thing they provide so that you can be paired by somewhat similar preferences. And if you do find someone and already filled out the VT form then you can change your status to not looking for a roommate and they won't consider your responses. I hope that makes sense!
What did you use to lift your beds? Are they provided by the Uni? What is best to use to hang things on those walls? Thanks for the video.

As for your other question command strips!! They are great. I used the sticky ones, the velcro, and the hooks most often.
Going off what Elle said, there's also Scotch mounting putty that works well for photos and stuff like that and it comes off really easily/won't ruin the walls.

Is there anyway you can get into the 4th floor as a freshman in Galileo? I'm not looking forward to being on the 6th floor in August 😂
Can a student take the class without being in the Hypatia and Galileo LLC? My daughter wants to do Engineering but would want to live in the Ujima LLC but that class sounds great! Could she still take the class or no?
unfortunately you have to be in hypatia or galileo to be enrolled in the class!

is there any way to guarantee a regular size room?
when you go through the room selection process, you get to pick which room/room number you want. They're basically all regular sized rooms except for the corner rooms which are bigger.
