Alternative Congress (alt-cong) is a social experiment meant to hold the mirror up to the current congress, engage individuals of all races, creeds, genders and socio-economic statuses, etc in our democracy and perhaps even become a breeding ground for the future generations of informed, people-centered politicians. No lobbying, no political parties, just real representation.
