I have watched quite a few of these. The biggest consistency I see is that your horses are always happy, have a nice expression, and seemed to like doing their job. I hope my horses will look like that in the near future. Benny Guitron and Bobby Harrison taught me that attitude is everything. You can do a lot more on a horse that has been brought along with minimal stress and that has been given the proper time. Nice job!
One thing we know, Great Basin boys take all summer to brand. It is not about speed or efficiency but rather slow slow slow. Great for the horses, eventually. I love the idea of heading and heeling the entire bunch of calves but unfortuneatly I have to irrigate, fix fence etc in the spring so branding is done by flanking calves and dragging to the fire. I love the horsemanship involved though.

Beautiful roping and horsemanship and lives the way you handle the cattle and calves, very efficient :)
Awesome! Lovely, PREPARED horse....a joy to watch you both work! Great lateral work :)
Thanks everyone :-)
The dun horse is a mare.
I was using a reata but the other guys where using poly ropes.
Thanks again and Vaya con Dios

Very nice! Seems very low-stress for both the cows and calves. This is music to the eyes! How old is the horse?
