About me: I run an online Etsy shop where I sell mostly laser cut goods and files. At first, my business was mainly crochet and knitwear, but I recently pivoted to strictly laser cutting. I really like the infinite possibilities laser cutting brings, and also enjoy coming up with my own unique designs. 😊 Intro Song: I have the rights under a license to use the following song in my intro - Endless Bliss - Sounds Like Sandler. I've been doing a variety of crafts using a Cricut machine and more recently, sublimation. I'm very interested in what can be done with a laser. Your video showed some very interesting things that can be made. I like your creativity. Even though I'm very tech savvy, trying to decide whether or not to invest in this as mostly a hobby is challenging to say the least. There's a lot to learn. Thanks for the video. It was helpful.

Hi! I always use either Gorilla Wood Glue or Super Glue, depending on the material. Use wood glue for any wood you are gluing together and you can use super glue for acrylic. I typically buy my wood products from Lasered By The Creek or Smokey Hill Designs. Acrylics from Houston Acrylic. They all have amazing materials. We actually just started a new business that you might be interested in (it's a private community with tons of monthly benefits including discounts on these material suppliers). If it fits in the machine you can pretty much work with it. It cannot cut metal however. Only fiberglass lasers can cut metals. You can engrave on them though if you use a special spray. Hi Karen! I have the basic but I hope to get the pro in the future because of the pass through. I haven’t necessarily needed it but there are certain bigger projects I’ve been eager to make with the pass through slot. With that said, my basic works great and has gotten me where I am today, but if I had the money at the time, I would’ve gone with the pro. Plus it supposedly faster, which is something I’m personally interested in. If you have financial restrictions, the basic or even plus (faster than the basic) would be good choices.

      m.ua-cam.com/video/PG-BXgzGZWM/v-deo.html
But they all have very similar capabilities. The difference between the basic and pro is that the pro is the fastest in terms of cutting/engraving and it can handle much larger projects if that’s something you’re interested in. The plus is a step up from the basic since it’s also faster, but it can only handle projects as big as 19”x11” like the basic.

Hi Catherine... I hope you don't mind me bothering you with another question... Do you use a adhesive tape on your wood so it doesn't burn and if so, where do you get yours?

No problem! This is the one I buy and use on wood... www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B07DF7TDSF/ref=cm_cr_arp_mb_bdcrb_top?ie=UTF8
It’s paper tape, not vinyl (vinyl is harmful). I know that a lot of people use this for their Glowforge. The company doesn’t recommend it only because they say it can cause fire but I haven’t had issues.
