Be aware of the fact that you'll only get the full 100 watts that JBL claims, if you use the a/c plug in a wall outlet. As with all speakers, you'll lose some power, when using the battery. It'll be more like 50 or 60 watts. I'm disappointed in knowing that most reviewers of this product, aren't telling consumers about this. This isn't my biased opinion, it's a FACT. I'm not being endorsed or paid by anyone. I just think it's only fair that consumers know this before buying. Good luck!
JBL is specific in AC mode, in manual service it specifies 60w in battery mode (at present only in service manuals battery mode wattage are specified in xtreme series)
Bought my JBL Extreme 3 at Best Buy, an open box in excellent condition for $206. Looked like it had never been unpacked. Could not justify $279 sale price for an unopened box. No buyers regret at this price point.
My speaker came with really distorted mid-to-highs, any ideas? Everything else sounds fine, the top highs sound very crisp it's just that mid to high range, is sounds so awful

Xtreme 2: 80w AC, 40w batt 55-20k hz

If you got it at that price of 160 it's a bargain. But at 300, price rage is just too much.

I’ve own this speaker and I also have app and does have EQ setting you must check your software update
How expensive are those things over there, here in Europe they are usually for sale new for 200 to 220 euros, why such a big price difference?
