Did you go all LED lights? Longer lasting. 😊 There is a Brillo like pad for a 4” grinder that will take those numbers off the aluminum. Detail is important. You’re doing great! 😃
The rear brake lights are LEDs that came with the airstream everything else is incandescent. And do you have a specific link/product for the pad? I tried everything I could find/think of but could not get the rest of those numbers off. Thanks for your support!
Great Work! Growing in patience is a great by-product to tearing down and rebuilding an Airstream! Will it need another clear coat once the exterior is completed or is it unnecessary? It looks good to me, either matt or glossy (...that may not be the correct description, but the finish it is now, ya know). I'm looking forward to hearing about Hawaii! You've Got This!!!
Thanks! There are a few different options out there for what to do with the exterior skins. We're not really set on any of them we just wanted a uniform look across the entire shell. It's not perfect, but for a 51-year old trailer it's good enough and we're happy with it. Polishing is a way to seal the whole thing but it would add 200-300+ hours of work and require more specialty tools and is another thing for another time (maybe in a few years). Based off our research, if we don't add anything to it the shell would just become a dull/patina grey which I think would look great and require less maintenance going forward
copper accents are the Chef Kiss to the project. sssuper nice💋
Glad you like em!
The letters look SO good!
Thanks! We’re PUMPED how they turned out
