Definitely not cheaper as you say, because I used to be able to just daisy chain all my sensors, each one only using 1 watt. Then, when an HBHF is tripped, a mem cell swapped from the doors (closing them) to give power to my turrets. Even though I had 12 doors, my entire circuit still took less than the turret power, so nothing was really wasted! This new method is gonna be a pain for me to figure out lol
Completely killed trap bases.. now it’s too easy to see if the doors got a controller or not.. at least the old placement you could hide them.. not a fan at all
You can change which side of the door the controller is on. You want double doors for traps anyways, too easy to back out of a gdoor that's closing on you.
Good video, my suggestion for next time is to add a timer as well that closes the doors after 30s or something. That way your idiot team members if they forget to close a door, it will automatically close.
I know this comment is old, but I did this last wipe, albeit on a 3x. I made my smart switch power up all the door controllers temporarily via a timer, branched the power so that it would turn the smart switch off immediately. This made for a momentary switch that could open all my garage doors for 10 seconds allowing me to move around my base easily, and I could press it at any time to ensure all inside doors were shutb
When i hooked it up the garage door part i didnt get it to work. It closes all garage doors with the red button but when i press again it shouldnt happen anything but it opens the garage doors and then closes directly.
Before, you only needed a HBsensor to detect intruders and 'set' the mem-cell to make the doors all shut and a killing blow deliver to key areas.. The update was a major L for security as G.doors - the crux of a good lockdown- are very obviously rigged to shut. Only good thing is that they de-sync when TC is broken. I regret not making a demonstration of this hannibal man-trap, the update has majorly screwed a circuit that actually beat 9/10 offline raiders. Nice QoL to have them on doors so if they DISCREETLY allow them to place manually then I'll upload the build :)
I’m sure there is still a way to rig it up; I also had a HBFS sensor-mem cell- door controller chain to lockdown, and I think I could still mess with it to fix the new issues!
@@kerrybarneyiii1202sure, but its very specific/limiting now, some examples: >Doors that swing out to block players can have controller shot out for no boom >wires bug and indicate the door has controller >g.doors are virtually not applicable, meaning a decent lock down requires a few armored doors which casuals may get raided before reaching. Currently living in a base with shit loads of single doors spiraling in a triangle. Its sus as theres not many placement options, not sure ill ever have the glorious base i once had :' )
On PC you can right click an electrical connection to disconnect it and then reconnect it anywhere you like. If you continue right clicking it will undo the wire until it reaches where it starts. Hope that helps!
Is it possible to have 2 lasers for an automatic garage, one outside, one inside, and both will open and close the open after a few seconds? I've been trying but I am pretty new to the door controllers and I only find tutorials for old ones
You could certainly do this. Off the top of my head, you could run the two Lasers to the A&B Inputs on an OR Switch, and that OR Switch's Output to the Toggle Input of a Timer (set Timer to desired door open duration). Run the Timer's output to the Door Controller Power In. Experiment with powering each item until you have no extra RUST Watts coming out the other side (I say it this way because console is currently different from PC regarding powering stuff). Hope this helps!
Sort of. You couldn't add a door controller to a locked door, but if the door controller was already on the door after you raided a base and placed your own TC, you could take a battery and open locked doors. This fixed all of that.
You just hook up your seismic sensor to a heartbeat or multiple and chain em with ORswitches and connect to close/turn off on your smart switch that is connected to all door controllers
Its not at all, imagine someone is raiding and you open a door and you die, you can now shut that door without having to open another door which could allow them even deeper.
As usual, an explicite and usefull lesson. Merci !
How to make 1 button to open and close the door but only by authorised person? Im tired to open door everytime i wanna move inside my base
They need to fix the graphics on console edition. The wires don't follow the device when the door opens. They just stick out like antennae.

Shift click the wire and u can make it stick to the door and move with the door.

Literally, so bad
Have they fixed this yet?

How would you run that circuit for a bigger base that needs multiple heartbeat sensors to all be able to trigger the lockdown?
I just found your video on how to network HBHF sensors so ty for making the answer to my question already lol
Whats the ordeal way to set up a spotlight to go off when tripped by a laser?
I tried using the passthru to power a second door controller (for hidden turret behind 2 garage doors) it wouldnt work the second controller
Does base lockdown v2 still work?

yo... what button did you hit to move the power from the door closer to the branch when you were "saving to the branches beneath?" Like at 11:05

@@AustinKlailaGames dude. What a legend! Thanks!
Then copy. And when paste it?. The doorcontroller will delete

Wait so back in the day could you just hook up a door controller to it if it didn't already have a door controller on it?

please implement a system with the new seismic sensor so that it auto closes when the sensor is activated
You just hook up your seismic sensor to a heartbeat or multiple and chain em with ORswitches and connect to close/turn off on your smart switch that is connected to all door controllers
I still view these types of add-ins as redundant. RP type stuff.
