      I was taught in school never to lift stuff with stretched legs but from a crouch. But that was basic stuff, like crates of water. Not about wobbly bags of cement (or salt, in my case) that haven't got anything to hold them by.

    Thanks. I (40year old female of 170 centimetres and 60 kg) am going to have to lift and carry a bunch of 25kg bags. I'm the only one who can in my family, but I always hugged them and carried them that way so far and thought this has to be a bad idea. This way should be way easier (and less unhealthy, even though I only do this very rarely).

      Gday Pre-Reform,
      there is a GRRRREAT vid on my channel for a quick & cheep dolly trolley that you MUST watch & you can upsize the wheels on the trolley to get better use over rough terrain.

    A concrete guy told me that when you lift something always look up to the sky. And I didn't know why at first but researching it I realize that puts your back in extension which will stop you from pinching all your vertebrae

    Awesome video dude. It's still hard to see the true body mechanics in action. Are you able to do more videos in less clothes? The less clothes the better!

      Did a Strongman course with Rob Orlando in 2014 and a weightlifting seminar with Klokov in 2013.... learnt ALOT about simple body mechanics that work in everyday use or on the crossfit track.

      Tighten your core up so you don't fudge your back because when you do it's game over.

    How much does the bag of cement weight ?,

    • @BeowulfBuilders
      @BeowulfBuilders  5 років тому +1

      Gday Alexis,
      The average bag of cement on today's work site weighs in at 20 kg (approximately 45 pounds) yet there are still some places where the old 40kg bag is still used.

    Try this with a 50kg cement bag

    • @BeowulfBuilders
      @BeowulfBuilders  3 роки тому +1

      Gday Ofoe,
      with the proper technique, whether its 20 kg or 80 kg you should be able to move it.
      the persons shape, height, strength all play a part in lifting on site.... one needs to know their own limits and work around them.
