Pat Barker, the Roast Battle Commissioner breaks down the best Roast Battles from across the world on RBL Weekly, the official podcast of the Roast Battle League. Listen guys, I’ve probably watched more roast battles than anyone except Brian Moses. I got hooked with the first Comedy Central season watched everything that has ever been available on UA-cam, including roast masters, Los Angeles, Chicago, Denver, international, etc. The only ones I haven’t seen is the early LA battles that are not available on UA-cam. I even watched the last couple of years on periscope and the terrible pandemic battles. My point is that someone needs to say it: Eli Sairs is the greatest of all time. There are a lot of great battlers out there, including Pat, who, in my opinion, is probably number two, but Eli is without a doubt the best ever. At least 60% of his jokes are A+, and his bombing percentage has to be like 5%. No one else can touch that. Even Keith Carey, who is usually spoken of as the best in LA bonbs at least 20% of the time.
Eli is KING no doubt, lets get this man outta retirement! The Stand had the best roasters and best roast battle vibes of all time imo
they definitely had some of the greatest roasters, but they also had some scrubs. The great thing is that they had the best judges, so, even when the scrubs would bomb, they would save the whole thing making fun of them. If you ask me though, I think Chicago has the best roasters overall on average. Those guys basically don’t have any scrubs. Mood wise the only ones that can challenge the stand is Denver. They do it in a bar so everyone is drunk/high. It’s an absolute trip.

The audio on some of the older battles is rough. If there was a way to enhance/remaster the audio of the older battles, that'd go a long way.

I loved Keith vs Zac, they were writing jokes that they'd write about themselves just like Keith and Connor did in the Belly, and we're both laughing at all of them. Miss Roast Masters, but Luis needed 1:less podcast because every week that was 2 less Uber drivers that got yelled at.

I totally agree 👍 more battles and less commentary, Pat is very long winded and loves to hear himself talk. I would skip it if you had chapters. I dont mind a little commentary but goodness Pat took 6 minutes to explain it smh 🤦 😒

I'm the biggest Eli fan and honestly I do think he is king of rb, I love him sooooo much(pls come back) but I do think Dina edged him out just barely and her 'gimmick' 2nd round gave her the advantage imo. Despite how Eli might feel she did still write jokes for round two she just did some akido shit. That being said, Eli may have actually won it earlier when he completely deconstructed her when he did his impression implying things sound smarter when you talk like a drone
