I used to be team Jess, but now I'm team Logan. Jess wasn't ready and mature enough for Rory at the time they were dating, but I love their bonding over reading. Logan understands and puts Rory in her place when necessary, though he isn't always the best influence either. I have watched a lot of videos discussing and analyzing the show and I'm in a couple of Goodreads groups that have interesting discussions. I believe in ghosts, though I haven't had an encounter, but I believe there are things out there that we don't understand or can explain. I like the idea of people getting a chance to redeem themselves or be able to resolve things they didn't get to resolve before they died like in the show Ghost Whisperer. I do also believe in afterlife as well, because I would rather that be the case than that we all just die, and never get to see our loved ones again.
I totally need to actually watch The Mummy! I have heard everything about it! (and Knives Out, I'm usually not a movie person but both just sound so good!)
After doing some quick research, I found Crimson Peak on Ebay as a disc w/ no cover or art claim never been played. Sounds super good! It sounds like a perfect cozy low key horror movie I can get into. I think you are totally right: Autumn would not be appreciated if it were all year long. Hm....I absolutely do believe in ghosts. Because I've been an in person witness to a few things I just couldnt write off. It's one of those things you have to go through yourself, otherwise it's just something to read about in books and see in movies. It's the sole reason I don't casually go to graveyards. I mean, the idea of a very quiet place sounds awesome. I wish I could be that person, like you were talking about being a PSL girlie. I wish I could just go and casually hang out at a graveyard. But no. Definitely no. I'm highly sensitive, as much as I both love it and hate it. And I can't have little Timmy or something following me home like that. Nope, nope, nope. But also if you do go, do realize you put yourself up for vulnerability & at least set yourself up with protections, ok? Honestly.....well anyway, I'll let other people have all the fun ok :D
i don't believe in ghosts either but my old electronic radio-clock one day started to beep so loud all of a sudden, it had no batteries nor power of any sort, it was left in an old wooden box for almost 12 years. My dog was the first who realized the source of the sound while i was running around the house like a panicked chicken because i couldn't figure out what kind of alarm it was. Once i touched the box, it stopped. My grandma had died few days before this happened, my family was at the countryside for burial ceremony. I myself studied physics, and i asked experienced eletricians and professors but couldn't find an explanation. I do keep searching. I enjoyed Ghostbusters 2 though 😄
I would love some of your soup recipes! I make a great crockpot potato soup u peel and dice potatoes 6 cups or more depending how chunky you like your soup. Put them in the crockpot. Saute diced onions in butter in a frying pan until translucent. When done add to potatoes in the crockpot. Add 6 cups of 2 % milk to potatoes and onions. Add two cans of cream of celery soup and two cans of cream of chicken soup. 3-4 cups chicken broth. Add salt pepper celery seed. Two tablespoons of butter. Mix all together cook low 6-8 hours until potatoes tender. Add 3 cups cheddar cheese last 20 minutes. It’s so good!!! Serve with saltine crackers.
When I was 15, I dreamed or experienced a female character dressed like a Fairie (like the Fairie in the Pinocchio cartoon coming to make him a real boy) coming into my bedroom who picked up my comforter and blanket to cover up my cold freezing arms one night. I felt the heaviness of these covers being thrown over my arms with weightiness of them on top of me. And my mother swears that she never came into my bedroom in the middle of the night. This is my only ghostly like experience. I was dreaming that my arms were cold because the covers were at my waist and not my neck. I was thinking I hate it when my arms are cold! I love watching old black and white films like The Woman in White, The Canterville Ghost, or Bell, Book and Candle (about witches' coven in NYC) with Jimmy Stewart and Kim Novak or Hitchcock's Vertigo or some other Hitchcock film during the fall season.
In Canada and the US, a lot of people have eaten venison or even have hunted their own. There is elk hunting and moose hunting also and I can't say that eating reindeer is any different than this. So despite growing up on cartoons and stories of adorable Rudolph, I would be a hypocrite to be offended. It is what it is, our bodies require sustenance. As a Canadian, I agree that winter can be too long and spring and autumn can not last long enough. Which sucks because I hate extreme temperatures and spring and autumn are the best seasons for me.
Equal seasons would be perfect! I also don’t believe in an afterlife so in theory don’t believe in ghosts. But, my last house had very weird happenings that we could never explain. We even named the ‘ghost’, just made it easier to tell the stories by attributing it to ‘Clyde’. When we moved we actually said, out loud, Clyde it’s been interesting but you are absolutely not allowed to move with us’, just in case! I’ve always wanted to visit the new owners and see if they have any weird happenings. 12 years in our new house and never one odd event here 🤷🏼♀️
Completely agree on the equal seasons part! I wouldn‘t 100% say I believe in ghosts, but if you compare all supernatural beings, I feel like ghosts are the most likely to exist. If that makes sense 😅
Crimson Peak is a good movie. I do believe in ghosts and have seen more than I want. I like Gilmore girls but the second half of the story where Rory is older kinda killed it for me. I do think she fit best with Logan. Paranormal creature, witch, but only if I could be one lie you said!
You just made me go hmmmm! I don’t believe in an afterlife either but love the idea of ghosts and would probably say I believe in them. After watching you today, I realize that’s a bit of wonky thinking. I guess I’ll have to just believe in the idea of ghosts. Now the fae on the other hand…
On the baking question, do you know how to make Krumkake? My aunt makes it at Christmas time and it's my Favorite! I need to get one of the press things and learn to make it too. I do have a sweatshirt that has a Gnome on it and it says Official Krumkake Tester on it, and I live in it around Christmas time!
I am in my witch phase this Halloween. Every year I get more into one thing than the other, like last year it was all about slashers for me lol I always loved witches though, even went through a Wiccan phase in Jr High and HS cause of The Craft and the Sweep book series by Cate Tiernan. And now with Agatha All Along, which I am LOVING, I am even more into my witch era. Currently obsessed, even broke my tarot cards out storage lmao I am a horror movie fanatic too, but when it comes to witches I want cozy witch movies, rather than horror. I watch horror year round anyway. I love the autumnal crockpot foods as well - I made red wine braised short ribs a couple weeks ago and pot roast last week and next week I'm doing beef stew and corn bread. Some beef burgundy sounds good too though, but beef and wine are just a fall/winter comfort food for me lol btw, I totally had a pumpkin spice latte for breakfast today lmao but I used to work at Starbucks so I usually just do it once or twice in the season because I got sick of coffee after working there, I mostly drink tea now come autumn and winter. Unless they bring back the gingerbread latte at Christmas, then I will be all over that. Love gingerbread.
🍁📚🤎🍂 Yes, equal seasons!! Autumn Veggie 😉 Stew, PSL, Apple Cinnamon Tea, Practical Magic, Fall decor, and seasonal books! No to ghosts and fairies, hands down.
Hi. Could you share with us your Sun, Moon and rising sign? I would like to be an elemental witch. Always on my autumn watch list - Scooby-Doo and The Grim adventures of Billy and Mandy. Thank you for your lovely videos. ❤
Halloween is now a much bigger thing in the UK than it used to be, I assume because of the American cultural influences. Although I still don't know any adults who do things for Halloween, just young children in my street who have a party. Traditionally here the bigger autumn thing is Bonfire Night/Guy Fawkes Night where we light bonfires and set of fireworks to commemorate a plot to blow up the Houses of Parliament! It was fun as a kid though, and I do still love a bonfire. There's also a traditional sticky ginger cake that's made in the north of England around that time called Parkin, and there's bonfire toffee as well. With Gilmore Girls I actually really enjoy how the original series ended re boys. I think they were different for different phases of Rory's life so you can't really pick one overall, although I find Logan an entitled brat, so can't stand him! Haha.
Also, do people in the US (or other countries) actually have a day off for Halloween? Because in the UK it's definitely not classed as a "holiday". But then neither is Valentine's Day or other days that in the US are referred to as holidays. So I wonder if the word holiday is just used to mean something else.
Here’s the short and sweet…. No, I don’t believe in ghosts in spite of the fact that I use to read a lot of ghost stories as a kid. I probably be a witch for a day so that I can conjure up a bunch of spells before time ran out. Gilmore girls: team Jess. As for favorite movies, I do like them scary but not sick like “saw” or “Hostel” but rather “ night of the living dead” “ the crazies” and “house on haunted hill”
I wonder if you would like Death Becomes Her. Have you talked about that movie? I don't remember. It has top-notch actors in it. People are 50/50 with it, some found it boring, I personally love that movie. Dark humor, not scary IMO.
I share your views exactly. I don't believe in an afterlife, or ghosts, or anything not scientific. Just me. Not to say I wouldn't be open to other ppl's ideas. Even though I don't believe, I can't read or watch anything remotely scary. 👻
Hi Alice! I think it could be fun if you had a Patreon or a Fable Book Club. I know you are busy but I think it would be great to read a book all together that you get to choose and we can read along. Or we can all vote on 3 books you choose ( something like that). Let’s be honest, busy or not, we are all gonna find the time to read! 😂 🎃 👻
Sounds amazing, but with full time work, full time studies and making videos (plus life, friends and family), I know I won’t be able to keep up with it 🖤 I did have a Patreon for a while and I got a lot of feedback that I wasn’t posting enough, and the minute I got busy/life stuff happened, I just couldn’t keep up with it, so for now, it’s not in the cards.

I was obsessed with Crimson Peak, i still am, i guess. I wish they would make more movies like this. Beside all the series and movies you mentioned, i love Good Witch. Such a cozy setting, a little witchy - for me is really the perfect mix between Practical Magic and Gilmore Girls. A few movies i watch in recent years for Halloween are A Haunting in Venice, and a movie named Miss Christina (2013), a Romanian gothic horror movie, because i love the book written by Mircea Eliade with the same name (1936).
