Big Long and Massive Trains Here at Wide World of Trains. I film airplanes and jets too along with some wildlife
I love the sound of a fast moving train. If I could I would listen to them all day long. The sounds of their wheels on those rails are soothing to the ears.
I like trains and I like trucks or buses because you’re my favourite favourite is trucks or trains because you’re big and strong Patrina way strong so I like trains better so I like it very I like your channel I love you so much God bless and I like you
Big thanks

Very Awesome catch WWOT!! 👍🏿👍🏿😁😁
Glad you enjoyed it
Keep up to great work on the videos
Thanks I will
Ns has an awesome horn
At 7:30 it looked like he was in Forza Horizon 4 racing the Flying Scotsman. Just a simple video clip made that 1 of the coolest videos I ever saw, good job!!
Thanks appreciate it
Great job
5:45 im happy to see a cp locomotive leading the tank train :)
Nothing like the sound of a train
Oh yea thats so true

Cool 👍
cool video
They need cameras at crossings like they have in the city at traffic lights. Then they could mail them a nice hefty citation.
Which would probably mean that it would be hard to film trains without being called on it by the law enforcements.
@@the.porter.productions How? That would only be for vehicles.
Porter Productions that doesn't make sense
@@the.porter.productions Cameras to video offenders, not trains.
@@the.porter.productions Which would have saved the Midnight Rider crew.
I also appreciate watching the premieres you make
Like IT it is good
Love your channel
Thanks I'm glad you enjoy it
Three thoughts for this video that is three years old as I'm watching it. #1 I've never seen a train switch tracks at as high of a speed as the one did. #2 I rewound the video when you said Q165 because I'm so used to hearing I165 #3 I actually had never before heard the closing music from todays video and I like it much better than the closing music that is currently used.
another great set WWOT Thanks
I appreciate the RR radio chatter when added to the sound. Good chasing and video quality.
BTW: I remember another video, out of Europe. A ten-ton truck was stuck between two gates, with a train bearing down on it. A ten-ton truck with 300 horsepower could easily overcome a flimsy gate, yet the driver let it trap him. Total destruction.
I like the dark blue on the locos instead of the black on the NS RR.
That was a optical illusion when new black paint looks blue.
Awesome stuff as always u get the great catches there
Thanks yes its a good spot and im happy you enjoy my videos
I luv these train videos I’ve been looking for these for a long time
Glad you like them! I have 14000 train videos here ua-cam.com/users/WideWorldofTrainsvideos

Looked like he stopped too far forward, and with the boom coming down on the truck he panicked lol. Glad he got outta there quick, that could’ve turned nasty!
cool trains
New subscriber great video wish our freight trains were that long awsome my friend keep up the good work
wow a chassy have not seen then box cars in years
Love the sound of GE roaring
Your video footages are fantastic. I really like these videos. Those frieght trains means business get out of it's way or else. Amtrak better not mess with fast moving horses LOL
that truck got to were he was going 1 min quicker was that minute really worth risking his life #anglemaker
He had enough time though, he was familiar with His truck and his load, and maybe evidently with that railroad crossing
He was already inside the gate, He made a good choice to book it out of there knowing he would make it....
Very awesome i like it
Great video my friend love your channel
Thanks my friend glad you like my channel and videos
So you love trains. Me too!😀
After I see a daylight steam engine: HELL YEA
Awesome Video!
Those are probably #8 or #10 switches, made for higher speeds. Every time you pace NS, it makes me want to buy a decent camera and head out US 36 between Springfield and Decatur Illinois, thats where i did my audio recordings back in the 1970's. But it was just Norfolk & Western way back then.
I remember N and W when it went thru here
That was nice wwot I liked it keep it up
Moronic move by the truck driver. He has no idea how far away or how fast the train is going. There’s enough videos out there showing many trucks getting slammed by a fast moving train. Another great and awesome video from Mike at Wide World of Trains. 👍👍
I love seeing helpers push from behind
Me too thanks for watching
Enjoyed this video. Sometimes I still like to count the cars. With the container cars it's hard to count them, even close up, because the lengths of the cars are not all the same. I recall in my summer visits to my grandparents, I always noticed the piggyback cars on the Burlington/Burlington Northern trains were almost always at the end. I look forward to seeing more videos.
See this everyday no big deal
I just love trains.
Imagine if the tractor trailer on that semi truck was a tanker.
😱😱
Me when I see union pacific: ba ba booey
WWOT, have a ? for you, “has a DPU ever caused a derailment because the DPU didn’t fallow directions from the Mother engine? Have a great day my Friend, Johnny
Not that I know of, good question tho Johnny my friend
People are just not very smart taking a huge semi around a gate just to gain maybe 15 minutes of a day. I’d hate to be a little child of a Mother or Father who does something like that. Crazy, they just don’t think. Bye for now WWOT. Johnny
That semi cut in front the train is right about time engiineman and the brakeman conductor hit the floor of the unit. Specking from experience.
Gate's down for a reason. Not worth losing your life for a few minutes. One thing on your trains I do not see any caboose on the end. They do not use these anymore on the modern trains?
can't Remember the Last Unit (LET) to Providence,RI. (CSX)
That's why we need to have two gates on either side of railroad crossings.
The driver of the truck 's got a real nerve !
They Need Security Cameras At The Railroad Crossings Like The Ones In Duluth, GA, And Traffic Lights Got Security Cameras All Over The US, But One Of Them In The US Not
More Amtrak I love the dash 8
Amazing Video. 🇮🇳

Is this in NJ between the old Leigh Valley line and the old CNJ line???????
No its south of Buffalo NY
My bad ..my bad 😂😂😂watched it again seen the dummy in the semi
Oh it's okay it is kind of hard to see because it's so far back
At 3:00, engineers hate that bull.
👍
Question.. who runs the southern tier railroad? The one that parallels I86
Not sure it may be based in Olean
Till my dying day, when I see "NS" on a locomotive I read "nickel silver" hahahhaha! Well, there was a Nickel Plate, after all. Just sayin'.
Good catch recording the mother trucker. Safety is never solely about yourself: Others, present or absent at the time, are always involved, even if it's only the guys with sponges and spatulas.
Incase you didn’t know NS on trains mean Norfolk Southern, and CP means Canadian Pacific and CN mans Canadian national
Pacing shots, showing the whole train... this is meat and taters video! But do get yourself a proper windjammer for your mic. And I nearly dozed off, the mark of a superior railroad video! Subscribed.
Ive been trying to find one or make one
That trucker cut it really close. He only had a third of a minute to spare.
Hey! That’s *ILLEGAL
That’s why there needs to be 4 gates instead of two. That way no one can cross.
How do the bells on diesel locomotives work? I understand they're different from the ones on steam locomotives.
From what I’ve seen they are just regular bells, except the little swindle or whatever is controlled by a motor, obviously.
I'm surprised that the truck went around the gate
And I've noticed the driver switched gears too while crossing over which is a no-no because you'll risk stalling out. It's good he wasn't pulling a tanker trailer.
How many SD 80's does NS have running, or are those retro-fitted into SD 70 AC-H's?
29 out of 30 units built are still on NS's active roster, only one was scrapped following derailment. All are ex-Conrail.
I think there's 29 out of 30 still running
10:18 is that 23K? It looks like it. 3 engines with signal level intermodal wellcars.
when i work for norfolk southern railroad i want operate the es44dc locomotive
Are there lawsd for folks who try to bypass barriers in your state?
Hey wide world of trains. I'm a huge railfan and I'm from Ohio and what's the best location to catch trains at in Ohio. Thanks. Jordan.
There are laws against this in every state in the union. That apparently didn't stop this truck driver from violating the law.
@@matthewgaines10 Then by putting cameras on the gates they could stop those who by-pass the gates that are down. By taking the drivers face behind the wheel and his license plate. It would be hard to squirm out of the ticket and or jail time that would ensue.
If I Had It My Way, it would be a federal offence.
@@RichardAndewSwayne A couple of problems that I see by making it a Federal Offense. 1.) You would not get them out unless death occurred from a train hitting a vehicle. 2.) That is like putting "Big Brother" looking over your shoulder, something that is unpalatable to me.
Making it a State offense and having cameras getting not only the driver but the vehicles license plate tosses out the "I wasn't driving at that time" out the window. No, the FINE has to be such that doing it again is a REAL PENALTY.
Fine 1st offense $5,000 plus Loss of license for 3-years plus court costs.
Fine 2nd offense $10,000 and the LOSS OF the LICENSE for 5-years.
Now you have teeth in the Law.
5:27 if that train derails 💥💥💥💥💥💥💥💥💥💥💥💥💥💥💥💥💥💥💥💥💥💥💥💥💥💥💥
Nice video, I caught a CP this morning
Must have worked for Swift before that job.
had that happen to me once I was crossing multiple tracks and the gates started down only after I was in themiddle of the tracks and I could see the train coming but it wa sa ways away so I tried not to floor it and get stuck I just kept going same speed over and past the gate. scared me.
Wow yes happened to me lots of times that's why they have plenty of time before the train gets to the crossing
I seen no truck go while train is coming ?????
You can see the rains headlights in the background in front of the truck, and after the trucks goes by
Was kinda hoping CSX would show him that was a bad decision
Sure switching at a high rate of speed there. Good way to derail.
Kenneth Hickman: I thought the same thing at the 5:54 mark. Switching over 50 mph is taking a chance.
and he's a local in a day cab too.
people like that to give the rest of us long haulers a bad name.
start my 30th year doing this in April and it just amazes me anymore who they will give a CDL too😕
what crossing was this
What location is this?
why at the begging and end to every tanker train that there is a like hopper cart between engine and the last coach?
buffer cars..to create space between flammable material and engine crews
So if something is to happen, say the tanker catches on fire, you don’t have a bunch of flammable materiel burning right next to the locomotive.
1 shifting gears driving over tracks (woulda felt funny if he wouldn't of got into the next gear.....2. report this....they can focus in on his plate, track him down and ask questions.....this coulda turned into a big problem....don't know if his empty, or loaded....chemicals or food.....not only would he have costed his life, maybe the train crews life and people around this area....
where the truck was
After the opening introduction, I thought you were done talking and appearing on camera
7 away from 50k!
Thanks for your support now 6 away from 50K
Now its 50k
More amtrak videos pleasle
I got Amtrak this morning, it'll be up later today or tomorrow
@@WideWorldofTrains cant wait
@@WideWorldofTrains If you haven't already, you should come visit Washington state. We've got some rather interesting trains and railroads here. Unfortunately, I don't have much time to chase them, but I take a train trip whenever I can, just because it's fun. I have a couple of really neat videos on my channel of a geared ALCO logging steam locomotive at the Mount Rainier Railroad and logging museum, headquartered along the Milwaukee Railroad in Elbe, Washington. It's a really neat place. You pick up the train at the depot in Elbe, which takes you to the historic logging museum in Mineral, Washington, at the base of the majestic Mount Rainier. At the depot in Elbe, they also have a neat little restaurant, called the Hobo Inn, where you dine in railcars. It's been featured on travel shows, like Northwest Backroads, Great Scenic Railway Journeys, and KING 5's Evening Magazine (you may see their crew in my videos). It's a really neat little evening getaway. 😊
Why just why would a truck driver be like that i mean if the train was a few meters closer that truck would have been gone and i just noticed that ns train is the same place you flimed with the union Pacific 😍😍❤😊
Locomotives are longer now than ever before. Why is that?
Well, compare how good trains were 100 years ago to now. The obvious upside to 100 years ago is steam trains are cool, but, putting that aside, diesel-electric locomotives can haul more freight than a steam locomotive can.
0:00 see the top right one?
That is a deleted scene of Thomas the tank engine
The flame thrower LOL
Trains going fast should be against the law
Miguel Rodriguez why
@@borispesenson226 because I said it
Miguel Rodriguez it more fun to ride faster train
It then how would freight be transported efficiently?
Lucky for him there's alot of time between the gate and the train. That jackass should be fired!
I don't think so because he was already in the crossing when the gate went down meaning the gates didn't start going down until he was already in the crossing, that's why they have plenty of time between the gates going down and the train getting there even at 60 miles an hour. It look like he stopped to look both ways once he was in The Crossing before proceeding
Oh okay, you're seeing it closer than I am!
He had time to cross illegally but he had time
The train will crash the truck
that is not smart and safe
That must've been scary
