I've had the Casio CTX 9000IN for over a month now. The first thing that I tried to do after unboxing was to create my own Rhythm. It's been one month since, and I still haven't been able to figure out how, in spite of watching several videos and taking several digs at the User Manual. The keyboard user interface and general operation is a freaking nightmare. I had bought a Yamaha PSR520 in 1995 and I could do all these in a breeze on that way back then. Casio seriously needs to look into its user interface. I am totally frustrated with this Keyboard in spite of it having several features. What good are features if the user is not able to use them easily ? Music is about enjoyment and a complicated keyboard only takes away major chunks of it. I have decided to switch over to a Yamaha.
I want to compose a 7/8 rhythm. Where do I change the time signature?

I expected you in this video but it seems you really don't wanna associate urself with Casio ctx series...it is understandable..when the competition gets closer..though i m still a beginner and respect ur decision to return the ctx 700..but I think there is much more then what the eyes see...I m planning to buy ctx 700...if you can tell any other keyboard in same price segment with same features and sound quality..I searched but yamaha e363 and 463 are higher in range in India...thanks..

Keyboard was a cheap way to practice on with a good sound. tried to record tracks with just the metronome running while i play chords but the tempo wont stay in what i record it to. every time i record in a tempo of 88 it defaults back to 120 when im try to play it back.. and no one on all these videos has said how to keep the rhythm tempo the same as when you record it. REALLY CASSIO???/!!!!

I agree. For anyone that isn't aware, or has forgotten, you can slow down UA-cam videos which results in a slower and more appealing talking speed.

Try watching the video on 0.75 speed setting . It worked for me

A nice large LCD like those in Yamaha & Korg makes it way easier.

So good that the stock rhythm patterns are enough for me. It was a very close fight between EK-50 and CT-X 3000.
it looks complicated but I m curius to see how easily can this be accomplished on other keyboards with all this functionality (and on the same price range)
