The TaoBao/1688 sites do not allow you to use the search engine unless you have a user account. However after creating the new user account when logging the page automatically blocks the account leaving it in a "frozen" state permanently. It does not matter if a "Bypass" from third parties sites is used to be able to search for products in those pages, after a few minutes it stops working and forces the user to log in, which is practically impossible if you are living in USA.

I’ve heard if you have a sourcing agent the suppliers are more likely to not steal your idea because then they will lose the sourcing agent... what are your thoughts?

This is a good question, I am not sure how to do it or if you can do it. Will have to look into that and get back to you. If I want to see top selling products that are doing volume I usually just go to aliexpress.
30 down and 70 after the goods are done, then first order on PayPal and/or credit card where you can file claims. Hopefully you chatted with them enough to know they are real, I talk with them for weeks before purchasing
@@CamronJames I the past I have found the process nerve wrecking due to the long time taken chatting with them just to somewhat get a break through, yet they don't wanna pick up the phone due to the extreme language barrier. In the end, they have always shipped but it is the final quality that fell well short of what was discussed and expected and in such instances you can't win no refund dispute! Also the 30 to 70 payment would not be applicable for an initial sample order it would work for the final order.

Find a Manufacturer on 1688, then get a freight forwarder to contact and go to the manufacturer to pick up the goods to bring to the USA :)

Yeah, a little higher risk. I would try to work with them or maybe a sourcing agent/freight forwarder who you trust can pay on your behalf!
