... You made your previous house a home, I think anyone watching then and now, felt so cozy and welcomed .... and there is no doubt in my mind that your new home will be just as great if not better! I think it is so amazing when you can take something old and turn it into not only something newer, but something completely your own. When you put your blood, sweat and tears into something you are putting you into every space ... and in the end that house becomes a home.... your home! You guys are doing an amazing job ... I've been through it and am going through it again on a much smaller scale, but it takes the parents help, friends help ... family and of course your endless devotion, hard work and will ( and of course God's direction)to make your home ...but it is all worth it...and you know you would have done it a hundred times over. Old home, Old Adventures, Old Memories .... Great way to for you to remember your first home. We still live in our first home for 10 years now and my husband doesn't want to leave this house. But I tell him, it's not the house that makes it a home but it's our family and our happiness that makes a home. So congrats on your new home how very soon you'll be a live in it with your beautiful and happy family.

Love this video. I remember doing my last walk through of our first house. So emotional - every room held so many memories and this video brought them back. Your home looks a lot different than I thought. Interesting how video can distort things. I didn't realize the living room and dining room were connected and that your front door was in between all that. Very cool to see it all.

it's such a cute house. I live in tennessee and your first home looks alot like the houses in the neighborhood we lived in growing up. my husband grew up just a few blocks from me. its very nice but I think you are going to enjoy you new home just as much if not more.

I prefer the architectural style of Germany.
Massive construction, bricked cellars, fully tiled bathrooms and in front of all you do not stand in the living room or in the kitchen (which is a very private space for me) when you enter such a house, because the front door often leads first in a windbreak with furnishings to store the coats and shoes and from there through a door into a central corridor. From this central corridor, doors lead into the adjoining rooms. As a result, the rooms in the German houses are separated from each other, which is why everything looks neater there. In addition, this design offers the possibility to heat all rooms differently, which saves heating costs.
The stairs to the upper floor or attic (if an upper floor or attic is present) and the basement are in European houses also in the hallway.
Overall, the construction of single-family dwellings in Germany is very energy-efficient and thus resource-friendly.

I've been following you for a few years now and I never fully figured out the layout, it's amazing what you did with the space and I'm so excited to see what your next home will look like in the future.
