DEBS is one of my all time favorite movies (gay or not gay). It's hilarious and wholesome and no one can tell me otherwise. 👍👍 BTW. If you like the tongue-in-cheek humor in DEBS, you might enjoy the show SHESPIES. It's not gay, but does have strong (and beautiful) female leads. You can watch all the episodes on UA-cam for free. Yes! Great series, terrible third season. SO MANY useless side characters, "lost" level of introducing new shit and never solving anything, no screen time for sandra oh. The story is going from nowhere to no place at all this season, unfortunately. Used to be amazing.
Quarantine drinking game: everytime they say "gay"
Just an FYI. Portrait of a lady on fire is only 2 hours long. Visually stunning and the director/writer wrote this for Adèle Haenel who is in the=movie and basically is a+love letter/to and for her. They were in a relationship for 4or 5 years and split before making the=movie, when asked if this was risky she said no as they have=known each other for a long time and understand each other, the risk is in the type of movie as the French think it wasn’t erotica enough. Anyway it is a gorgeous movie
People who thought it wasn't erotica enough don't get the first thing about erotica. I thought this movie way more arousing than the horrible 9 minutes sex scene of the Blue is the Warmest Color.

Portrait of a Lady on Fire is a superb film, without a doubt on of the most beautiful love stories ever in the history of cinema.
Portrait of a Lady on Fire says something about what you do for love (destroying a portrait just to have the chance to be with that person a bit longer), deliver her to someone else's arms, even when Marianne remains madly in love with Heloïse didn't went after her at the end. For me seen the attempt of Heloïse to feel closer to her beloved by listening to the song she played for her and seen how she always remembered Marianne also through the portrait she painted in her book is heartbreaking, because they both knew that a goodbye for good was the best for both

Portrait has the most stunning gay actress in it plus Noémie Merlant who is smoking 🌋 with short hair. Great acting, good script and beautiful shots. The chemistry between all actors is great and we're all suckers for forbidden love. 😅
yeah Adrianna same the last scene of Portrait of a lady on fire with Helöise in the theater listening to vivaldi and remembering is also my FAVORITE scene 😭

I recommend watching Saving Face, another excellent LGBTQ film written and directed by Alice Wu (who made The Half Of It)! It's a heartwarming and exciting movie, one of the few from the early 2000s that didn't use some of the bad tropes we see in lesbian films.

@@klrfan Sure thing! I'm glad you loved them. Anne Lister coded part of her diaries, and the Gentleman Jack is based on the diaries. I even went further to read the first volume of the decoded version. The book's name is The Secret Diaries Of Miss Anne Lister.

I recommend Girlhood, it's a french film from the director of Portrait of a lady on fire. Celine's work is tonally so rich, love it.

Thanks for thinking of us and making new content. I'm pretty well starved for content. It's cool you mentioned Bird Cage. I saw it recently and added it to my to view list. Naturally, as a good gay lady, I am completely obsessed with Portrait of a Lady on Fire. I found it in March of 2020; though it premiered at Cannes in spring of 2019. The script is incredible. The film director is a talented genius and a true fighter for equality, advocating for the 50/50 campaign in France. The actress Adele Haenel is a stunningly talented, fierce advocate for her art and French cinema. She is a rebel French Marxist Feminist who isn't afraid to march in the streets with the people. She is truly a very captivating and unique woman who leaves all who become aware her mesmerized. Really the entire cast and crew of that film are magical people, who well deserve the accolades the film has generated.
Portrait of a Lady on Fire is honestly one of the best films I've seen in my life. It's gorgeous and subtle and deeply touching. I cried like a baby when I saw it the first time.
