Nice video Jason. We run the same 12 row heads on our New Holland CR8.90's. They're on tracks as well. Yes, the head does amazing and saves time. Makes harvest less chaotic for sure.👍👍 GO BTP!!💪

I liked the headlights. They were a surprise as the sun went down. They brighten up night time harvest a bunch.

He talked about they used to use 8 row headers, now 12. If that S780 had an 8 it’s probably really liking that 12 row as that would be much better suited to that machine.

Great video. I have a question that Hasn’t been answered on other sights. That combine does a great job keeping the residue cut short, what happens to the cobbs, are they grounded up before their expelled from the machine? 👍 TW

Good question. The cobs are spit back out on the field. The cobs are the main residue being expelled out the back of the combine.

@@bigtractorpower ok, wouldn’t it be better to grind the cobbs up into smaller pieces thereby enhancing the soil for next year. I would imagine they will be doing some type of fall tilling, with a cover crop.
