This reminds me of how most of my family thinks my niece is "so sassy and its so cute" but its not at all! She's a rude, mean little girl becuase they have okayed it for her to act that way. She hits people, hurts animals, and demands things from adults and she's 3! This girl is so incredibly immature, flirting with that guy like a 10yr old, being so rude to him.
I can’t believe she said she was raised to be “quick witted”! She isn’t funny or quirky, she is just rude. Dan was trying his best, it’s nerve wracking for him too. It’s hard watching Shauna not showing Dan any compassion.

Same for the whole "I'm sassy" thing - that's funny in moderation, at the right times, but deal with that over a long period (in my case 4+ years) and you will not like that anymore. People who constantly do that, often don't realize their tone and how sometimes It's hurtful as well.

Unfortunately, this is a really sad situation where it's like no one can win. Unless she dates someone who has a similar situation or is also a little person. I get why she's sassy and sarcastic in public to total strangers as a defense, You dont know strangers intentions. But... When you invite someone into your home (Plus its a casual date, with other family members present). Being sassy and sarcastic is super rude, you can tell he was super nervous. @4:57 When her dad said, he figured out when Shauna thinks no one is listening and its only her and Dan. It's not so much a date as it is getting to know each other... that's what a date is. Side note: the parents can still be in the house, but should leave them alone if they're really trying to date

Maybe it comes easy to me and I’m just completely under a rock and everyone else sees it as a troubling since I’ve grown up eating and cooking rice occasionally because it was incorporated in just about every dish my family cooked, but like all u really need is a rice cooker and Google, love.

I feel bad for her but it's also tough to watch because she clearly doesn't have the maturity you'd expect of her age. I honestly think this show should be about her process through therapy and smaller steps towards independence rather than dating and looking for work.
For example; when she's cooking she grabs a "stool" which is a fisher price child's chair. Why even have that anymore? Get a small stepladder. Of course you're going to feel like a child who can't cook if you're using a child's chair to stand on.
It's interesting to watch but from the outside there are just so many things that I see that are wrong in the situation.

My cousin has her condition and as her family, we always question if a guy is genuinely interested in her or if is he a paedophile. She once dated a guy who kept buying her cute doll-like clothes and Lolita shoes all the time and took pictures of them, including sexier ones. We later found out that he makes dolls as a hobby and he was using her photos without her consent to market his dolls' website. Although he was really good to her and she loved him a lot, she decided that it was time to let go. And as her family, we took him to court and sued him for violation of her right to publicity. Yeah....he ended up paying for damages and he got banned from attending our church.
