I'll say, at the very least, we're most likely going to dominnate the Pacific Division for years to come. Suns definitely will compete with us, perhaps Clippers. But we just have fresher legs & the potential for us to grow with guys like Keegan Murrary Is insane.
Did you forget , Denver, Dallas, Pelicans, Minnesota and OKC? They are better at this moment than the Kings. Dominate the West..I doubt it, but 7th may be a more realistic and reasonable goal. It's the playoffs and if they get in and you say they'd dominate the West... It shouldn't matter if they're 1 seed or 8.😂
I am a bit surprised about all these talks about size. It wasnt biggest problem. We were 9th by 2point defence, 15th by defence rebounds. Nothing great but also nothing horrible. Last 2 month this team was 4th by points allowed. As much bigger problems i see that we lacked player that could create a shot for himself and we solved it with derozan. Next huge problem was 3pt defence. We ended at 29th here.. and many shots were wide open. Ingram, kuzma, johnson, markkanen gives size but they do not give that perimeter defence. Far from it. And all of them cost a lot. Thats why i think now we need 2 3&d wings. I would want to see d.f. smith and r. Covington. And maybe one more center and lets go.
I think bad 3 point defense can come from many places and one of the reasons the Kings weren’t good is because they lacked a big wing defender. Big wings on other teams could easily get into the paint and collapse the defense to kick out to open shooters.
Are the kings better than the Pels with this move? Instead of length and athleticism kings for smaller with Barnes leaving also he was a better 3 point shooter so

I love Harrison Barnes and appreciate all he gave the Kings, but it was time for him to move on. I'm looking forward to seeing Fox take the next leap in his game now that he isn't the primary scorer every time he is on the court.

I just think DeMar is versatile positionally so you can craft lineups around that. The matchup can dictate what we put out their and not all of our guards need to play and some may be injured.

It was probably because that issue was exposed by the Pelicans, going 0-6 against them.

Monk can play the 1 and the 2 and DeMar can kind of play 2-4 so I don’t see that as a problem.
