Hands down my favorite dethklok song. In the episode nathan explosion learns he is a quarter amazonian native, the last living blood of a slaughtered cannibal tribe. He feels the animalistic hunger and rage still exists in him and views it as his role to carry on the tainted bloodline. That sounds super deep and serious...but it's a comedy show. So it's both cool and incredibly hilarious in execution. Yes it's adult swim. It's an adult comedy show and all the lyrics, guitar and vocals are by show creator brendan small. Along with other legendary musicians including gene the atomic clock hoglan from strapping young lad on drums.
I really know Dethklok from their music, not from the show, which I've only seen in passing. Definitely take them seriously, it's got a kind of satirical over-the-top on-the-nose vibe to the death metal, but their compositions and talents are the real deal, excellent metal music. Oh and it's Deth-klok "death-clock" like you tell time, not "death-lock" like a locked door. That's why the terrific drums always seem to me to be the titular clock.
Next song you should do is "burn the earth" You should absolutely take them serious as a band. I've seen them live and they are great. Brendon Small is the man behind all of this look him up. Their former drummer is Gene Hoglan from strapping young lad, fear factory etc. Great reaction!!!
