The lore in this game is so deep and rich. I love every bit of it. I like that there's just little snippets of background on each of the NPCs- just a taste to give them some unique flavor.
Same here! It's actually what got me super interested in Enshrouded, I can't really remember a survival craft game launching that had such incredible world building, both from the locations you visit and the notes you pick up, just slowly painting a picture of what the world was like before and the record of everything that went wrong. And as a person that goes crazy for a world with heaps of lore to dig into, Enshrouded won me over within the first hour 😅
23:13 I did the EXACT same thing my first time in there. In the discord I am part of it seemed like everyone else had no problems and I was truly flabbergasted 😂
@@justingeneral 8:01 This is the fight that hinted it, but rewatching it makes me doubt the accuracy of my statement. The blades do appear to go out, but you still get fire damage from getting hit sometimes. Maybe there's a cool-down?
I really hope the combat gets majorly updated before release. Ive been hopping from video to video and this game looks so fun i will get it but the combat has been the same in every video with the same basic looking attacks on all weapons and the skills tree doesnt seem to add much. I feel like with some solid combat flare will really push this game over the top. So like more animations, more combos, more spells etc
I can definitely agree on the combat being a bit basic, I think it comes from the game combining so many different elements together that something was going to be a weaker link. If they do manage to give the combat a lift with some/all of the things you mentioned, I'm right there with you, it would elevate the game to a crazy level because everything else is so good already. And at that point, it would be my perfect game 😅
