I'm fairly positive this jump was near maldon in Essex..They have since build a bridge where the jump took place,so if you go on the maldon bypass when you cross the water that's where the jump happen..if this isn't the footage he definitely clear a jump there in the 80's..Eddie Kidd what a legend..✌️
Exactly correct - its the old railway viaduct in Maldon/Beeleigh. I lived a few 100 metres from it (a little later on but before they built the bypass). (I eyed it up a few times but didn't think my GSXR1100 was the right bike for it...never mind my lack of talent)
Well, "Heavy Metal" came on after this clip in the credits, not so sure about the little soundtrack clip as he made the jump, not sure exactly what that is called.

That was sketchy as hell, but he saved it! Approaching that jump in mud is straight-up insane.
Unbelievable skill to keep the bike under control on landing. What a genius Eddie was.
That is BALLS. ABSOLUTE RESPECT.
That's a hell of stunt to perform for ten people.
Yeah, and I have never heard of him or the stunt! What a shame. That's a Hell of a jump!!!
And being 20 years old.
This was nuts! The front wheel was headed for the moon and he rode out of it…. Unreal!!!
Shat yeah at was. Bet his arse was drawed up half way across 😂
Fanfare for the common man.... love it
There were a million ways for that stunt to go wrong.
0:38 looks like he blown his arse-clutch on that landing, he just pinned it all the way with no panic braking :) , 80s nutjobs i just love em!

He landed high up on back wheel cuz they made him use a front mudguard that caught the wind
Also made him use a visor which flew back and caught the wind.
I remember a similar movie before 1979, about a motorcyclist who had to jump 19 cars, which he finally made it. Any idea about the name of this movie?
Riding high
yz400?
