Personally I haven't got my first pinball machine yet. However I like to think when i do ill pretty much do it the same way your doing it. Focusing on getting the game back to how it was intended to be played. But if that isn't possible doing what i can to make it work again within reason and without going overboard to do so.
I know I have had my frustrations and oh crap moments. I was told get it working before doing a full restore on a pin and I was like thanks but a bit to late already was in 3000 pieces. >.< I am new to pinball restoring and have learned a ton from first tearing into my High-Speed pin. I have new lights and 4 new legs that I am getting shipped to me should be here in about a week. It will be as factory new as possible with my pin restores.
i am a 35 year collector...my style is to do "PETINA" type cleaning..i dont like to repro parts..(unless i have too)./...and i like no repaint at all..and no re touch ups.. i like it all original...i even use vintage rubber ring sets..on my games..(old ones that i collect and match up for a game!)
I LOVE Gordon Morison artwork!
You did a great job on the pin too!
This actually looks really nice. I would be supper satisfied with what you got so far. Great job.

I never hear someone talk more interesting about pinball before! Looking forward to see finished "Dracula" ;)
I really do appreciate these videos. Keep 'em coming!
I know this is an old video but do what you like man! It's your game your hobby and your money. As long as you're enjoying doing it.
