THANK YOU❗️I bought the gas can and could not figure it out. I went to Auto Zone ready to buy another one esdy to open. The salesperson showed me one that LOOKED easier to open, but he tried to show me how it worked and HR COULD NOT figure it out and he gave up! 😅 He then showed me the one I had already bought earlier and sort of showed me how it worked. However, i got home and gasoline ⛽️ was still NOT coming out. I wrnt to UA-cam and found your video and saved my day! I am a recent widow and im learning how to survive in this world without my husband. Again, thank you! 😊🙏

I sat down in the driver's seat trying to figure out what the heck am I going to do ?? So I grabbed my phone and typed how to use a scepter gas can and Your video was the first to pop up. I felt like a moron but it was truly hard to figure out and I'm 31 yrs old. 😅 Very thankful for your video!! Truly such a blessing.

Their goal is to make it as hard as possible to figure it out. Wish we could go back to the 80's. I still have a gas can from that decade and it is simple
I just picked up one of these from Lowe’s, and I had no idea how to use it. I’d tried it the way that you showed, but only after watching your video did I try it again, and realized that the 1st time you press the light green block in, it may be stiff, so you have to use a bit more force. After that initial time, it depresses very easily. Thanks for the video! 😊

Yeah we have figured out that part and easy to use on toy on ground. Try holding 5 gallon can aka 30 pounds up to put gas in a car pushing button at same time. It sucks!!! All the new ones suck. I got a funnel tossed new nozzles away. Easy lol
Contractor left a generator at my home and I have to refill it. the gas can is that exact kind but all I have is the black spout the green cap was missing.

Good explanation. I bought one a few days ago. Be sure to operate the valve first when in upright no-pour position. This releases any built up pressure to puff out. Then fill your mower. Do this so that the pressurized puff does not splash the gas back atcha and over your mower.

I literally pulled up this video a few hours ago while trying to dispense the 2 gallons of gas I had in my trunk in this can and put the phone sideways on the trunk as you helped me. That said, this video feels like if Christopher Walken had done this as an SNL sketch. His voice, his cadence, his appearance..just uncanny

At 2:51 the spring loaded lever is a lock. That's all it is. It has no other function. It can be thought of as a child (or dummy adult) protection mechanism. It prevents children (or dummy adults) from pressing the green button. It also prevents the accidental activation of the green button in situations such as when the gas can is rolling around in the trunk of a car, or in the bed of a pickup truck, or falls off a table to the ground. The spring loaded lever is a protective lock. The green button controls flow.

Thank you for making this video. No one would figure out if he/she didn't see your demo. The manufacturer didn't mention to push down the green button all the way down as well in order to make it work; they just said to use your palm to push down. Their video sucks!!!
