Has anyone tried the two way player profile with the pitch side being a relief pitcher? Less routine and pressure than a starter workload and would allow him to only focus on two pitches with his fastball/slider combo. I'm firmly in the camp of anti-two way players, let them develop their biggest strength and focus on that.

My guess is that first, these guys are used to being a starter, and also as a starter, they can have a more consistent schedule, compared to the more spontaneous nature of being a reliever. Also, with many teams starting to use a 6 man rotation, the rest won’t be a problem, and with the upside and tools he has, there’s no reason for whoever drafts him to not try him out of the pen if he doesn’t work out as a starter
