If you ever get in a bind and find yourself without gift tags, I have created them out of the wrapping paper if you like discreet and matching or punctuate with a sprig of greenery. If you like a bolder tag, I have cut out the front, or portions of the front, of past Christmas cards to use as tags. If you can’t be bothered to create a tag, a metallic pen to write the name on the back of the package works in a pinch. 😉☺️😉 What a lovely getaway! To write off an entire legacy of a brand over one newly appointed designers horrible mistake is mind boggling to me. These people who are throwing out or burning their Balenciaga’s would they do the same if it was Hermes or Chanel ... I think not. Cancel culture is a horrible thing when someone is trying to right a horrible wrong. If u made a mistake would you want everyone to cancel and boycott you even when you admitted a wrong and was on the path to fix it. I’d be interested to see if you ever wear any of those Balenciaga bits you loved so much when the controversy is forgotten and the brand is popular again.
I’ve never said I’m writing them off forever. I just said I needed a new belt to wear. I’m just storing my pieces away for now. I love the history of balaneciaga and the old core dna of their brand, it’s so beautiful. And I really hope they turn things around because I adore the brand. But I’m not wearing their stuff right now because personally it feels a bit icky to support them in this moment and I’m absolutely not putting myself through the mental torture and abuse for being seen wearing a balenciaga item online. So I’d rather find new pieces to wear until they turn things around. I don’t believe in cancel culture but instead I prefer to pause and watch the situation, but in the mean time, I need a belt.
