I just bought the 24" for my daughter. She previously had some no name 16" that she had way outgrown. She is 54" and it fits her to a T. She didn't like the gears or v brakes at first but after a ride she loved them. She had never used either before. She was amazed how she could ride places she couldn't before. I'm amazed that the Jett is lighter than her 16" bike. It's incredibly light. I was comparing it to similar bikes from Cannondale, CO Op, Liv, Guardian, Trek and Fuji. Cannondale was actually my first choice, but we (she) decided on this one because of color. Yea, priorities I guess, she's 9. It's a beautiful bike and very well constructed. Many adjustments for ergonomics. Could use a bit more padding on the seat for her skinny butt however.
Anyways, after an hour long ride with her I was incredibly impressed. I was especially impressed on how it outshined my Trek. I have an OLD 820 with fully upgraded components like Shimano XT, Avid and Mavic yet still a HEAVY steel frame. Only the best for my kid, this seems to be no exception. She even has a better phone than I, iPhone 11max vs Xs. lol
It was $450 bucks plus tax.

I bought my 5yo son the Jett 20 he is 41-1/2” tall. The size range on the 20 starts at 40”
At the lowest seat height he doesn’t even come close to being able touch the ground. He is able to ride it after teaching him how to start but his confidence is down. It’ll be perfect for him next summer for sure.
For younger kids I like the twist handle shifters better and although I wish it had disc brakes, the ones it come with from the factory work just fine.

    Thoughts vs. the Woom 5?

The Woom is slightly cheaper and has a lower seat tube, so I think it wins out in the end. That said, if you're a Spec fan this bike is a vast improvement for the kiddos.

an update 1 year later. Jett is selling for $200 less than the Woom 5 and I don't see how it could be any better. The Jett is about as close to rolling perfection as I've ever seen.
