Super review! Love the Ameo 1.5 TDI DSG! It has a gem of an engine and butter-smooth DSG gearbox. Sad that Indian market did not show the love the VW Ameo deserved!
I exchanged my top end Dzire (2013)with Ameo 1.5 DSG high line plus (2019)second hand with 20k km driven…….. I like the VW very much…..the only problem I faced is getting into the vehicle is difficult and 3 passengers can’t seat on back as compared to Dzire……lot of safety factors are the reason VW Ameo makes me impressive……Fun to drive the DSG…..
True buddy. Ameo is a far more accomplished vehicle, but back seat space and pricey service (compared to competitors in the segment) lead to its sales failure
I hated it at first but I got used to it after a while with its disproportionate looks . It's good city car despite its flaws. Please do a review for Tata Tigor petrol and Honda Amaze petrol also . They are underrated cars these days with SUVS running wild in India.
You create great videos my friend, your presentation is really awesome 😎😎.... You deserve more subscribers... Keep going brother, I somewhat have a feeling that you'll get an unexpected boost in your channel ( boost in like ; subscribers and views) for sure, that also very soon..... Congratulations in advance my brother..., ❤️❤️ Love from Nepal ❤️❤️
Thanks so much for your support bro! It really means a lot! With support from amazing human beings like yourself, I hope to reach more car buyers/enthusiasts to help them with their car buying decisions and/or entertain them in the process :-)
I am planning to buy a secondhand Ameo 1.2liter and make it a cng car. Mainly because even after installing cng the boot space is sufficient. But is this successful with cng? Alternatively should I but a Vento 1.2
@@JRSCars VW Car owners own the car from heart! And when you review the car and say it’s owned when you can’t buy this and that … Bro you disrespected many folks who own it by choice. And what’s the point of whole review when you title it as Why AMEO failed, and you end with other point. That’s where the budding Vloger word came to picture. Hope the points made are taken positively.
Bro, I agree with the point that VW owners own by choice, but imho, I did give an overall review of the car in an un-biased manner. Also, it was not meant to offend any Ameo owner, but the reasons I mentioned was why VW intended that car to exist in the first place, to take advantage of lower taxes for under 4m cars! Also, the video is titled, as a 'review' along with the reason why it was a sales failure. And yes, all points, will be taken positively.
@@jhanit Maybe we should be calling a waahmbulance for you. Ameo has its own class, even the vlogger didn't say anything about it. It's got the underpinnings of its much more successful siblings, and its essentially the same car, no one is denying that. He's calling a spade a spade. If it was a success, it would still be in production- I don't see it on the VW website anymore. It's not disrespect to anyone. If anything, its aimed at VW itself for not understanding what the larger Indian customer base wants. It sold ~50k in 3 years. Hyundai Venue crossed that in a year and its not even a great car. And what do you mean own by choice? Are people forced to buy this car or any other car? Ofcourse people like this car and there are many who owned it. Why it is called a failure is since the demand tapered out and didn't meet their projections.
@@johnt6767 Appreciate your feedback, and I differ to opine that volume is the yardstick for manufacturers who look for profits. A good well built car may be costlier to continue, and as mfr looks only at numbers they don’t continue doesn’t mean the car quality is bad. Having said that, end of the day weather it’s Hyundai or Maruti or any other brand that can sell well in numbers, the ride quality and joy of riding and sheer experience that cars like AMEO give are quite hard to meet. Always at the top of the pyramid quality matters, bottom of the pyramid quantity matters. I am glad I chose the better one, and be part of select club of AMEO owners.

Thanks dude! True, the Indian market always loves to de-fame legends and then pay a premium in the used market.
Is the dsg tdi gearbox gets issued after some years?

Haha, I prefer the Amaze, but sturdy feel of VW is unmatched. I went with Amaze as I needed back seat space for my parents
True, that is a weak area of the Ameo. Otherwise, it is an amazing car...
Nice one man! The reasons for failure are spot on!
Thanks buddy!

Great review. Definitely worth a buy second hand
It really is!
Great work Jo!
Thanks so much aunty😄
2017 Ameo highline petrol manual 65k kms, well maintained, no issues. Asking price is 5.50L, worth it?
Price seems high - new car was only 9L when new
@@JRSCars alright thanks.
I got it for 3.9 lacs same specs as mentioned by you. 60000 kms run

I am planning to buy an ameo 1.2L petrol engine of 2017
What is the mileage i can expect?
11-13 city
17+ highway
Depending on driving style
Super video bro
Thanks bro!
Bro u know me right
Yea, from the ikon video
S bro
Great car, but could not handle popularity of desire and amaze . Even aspire failed

Not sure buddy. Better to go for Maruti or Hyundai who sell CNG cars. VAG cars are not designed for CNG and can cause issues
Vw Ameo disel enna milege varum
Similar to polo diesel
14-15 city
20+ highway
Hahaha, that poor verito vibe 😂😂😂
My neighbour had one, horrible looking thing 😂
Haha, yes, that was a horrible cut and shut job
In the review keep mentioning the mileage of the car. What is the mileage of this car with a 1.2 petrol engine?
10 kmpl in city
Polo for a compact family
Definitely! with little extra practicality
Ameo ko hindi me kya bolte hai?
Me: Na ghar ka Na ghat ka😂😂
Polo with half boot 😂
Lol
Perfect for AWD conversion unlike Polo where space for fuel cell etc is an issue
0-100 test pannuga bro!!
Vandi la insurance illa bro, adhaan test panala. Safety mukyam bigile😂

It’s Petrol Variant’s so called review, …budding vlogers.. 😌 AMEO has its own class!!
Ameo has its own class, agreed. What do you mean by: 'Petrol so called review'??
