I was under the impression that the last time both sides appeared that Defense said she needed everything prosecution had! Now here we are again still looking for things that should have already been turned over. WTH! A trial date was set for sometime in 2025 and by now she should have everything she needs to move forward to build her case.

Omg! I was discussing something similar with my husband this evening during dinner. I was hoping when JJ said this is the hardest decision he’s ever had to make, is because he is busy and he will make a discussion he doesn’t want to make - that he will grant COV and not go with the case! But that’s probably my wishful thinking. It seems to me JJ isn’t interpreting the law, he’s trying to be “fair” to both sides. But, problem is i don’t know if that’s what should take precedence because the State is being so odd, it doesn’t appear like JJ is “fair”. He seems lost. I believe Anne Taylor has the law on her side and she’s following it to a T. To the point where she’s defending 2 cases at once. This current case and as if it’s already on appeal. So if the case gets to appeal there’s an extensive archive for the appeal to be successful. Great video! 💯

I thought the same thing . Then i also wondered if this is the first time hes been the lead on any case . Trying to make it make sense . All of this is very concerning .

I just think jjj is being manipulated by those in more powerful places and is afraid of them, just my opinion.

Agreed. But all of a sudden he decided he didn't want the case because the court couldn't handle a case of this magnitude. Why couldn't he decide that months ago. When Ann first said something. He was stalling for the prosecution. Now he is washing his hands of it.

    Brett Payne’s amnesia is wild.
I know it’s an adversarial system but the point of it is also to find out the truth. The prosecution and LE seems hellbent on obscuring things. Which doesn’t help anyone arrive at the truth.

Great video. IMO, Payne lied and perjured himself on the stand. That was the most lame testimony I think I have ever heard from a "lead detective". The evidence issue in this case is unlike anything I have ever seen. The accused is entitled to the evidence that will be used against him, or so I thought. The Judge, IMO, is allowing the Prosecution to continue railroading this defendant. I would think the defense team would be pulling their hair out.

You would think that the lead detective would know these facts. This is disturbing. Brian could be any one of us. People that think he is guilty as charged have not been doing any research on this case and it drives me crazy. Even the G family keep stating about the dna. Someone needs to explain what touch dna means. Would anyone want this detective on their loved ones case? Holy F this blows my mind.

The detective is not going to do the defenses job. That's why he has a generic answer for all her questions. One of the defenses complaints early on was that the prosecutor didn't categorize and itemize everything and wrap it all up in a nice little bow like a Christmas present.
It's not the prosecutions or the detectives job to help the defense do their job. Each attorney is being paid 150 plus bucks an hour. They should be making use of that time and money.
Furthermore, law enforcements world doesn't just revole around this case. They have other crimes occuring daily that demand their time and dedication. So why should they be expected to remember were a certain snipet of video is located 1and a half years later. Obviously law enforcement have a person who is responsible and is paid to know where this information is. Why didn't the defense speak with this person before hand? Could it be because they were looking for some sort of got ya moment in court? Could it be they are just lazy and are still trying to manipulate law enforcement into doing the defenses job?
As an attorney I suspect you know that deadlines in a courtroom are almost never final. They can be moved if either side petitions the judge for more time.
Ask yourself why the defense never brings up this supposed exculpatory evidence Bethany funk supposedly had. Could it be they spoke with her and now know there isn't any exculpatory information? Why are they not addressing the important issues in this case and focusing on minor and somewhat insignificant issues? What's not being said is sometimes just as important if not more important than what's not.
If kohberger wasn't at the crime scene and the defense can prove it, why was this not the subject for the dismissal hearing instead of old obscure laws like beyond a reasonable doubt? They could call in the same witnesses they plan to cross examine at trial.
Sometimes when something looks, walks, and talks, like a duck, it's a duck.
