Hi Jim . You nail it every time . I have had my SVR since September. It ticks all my boxes . If you never leave Dynamic Mode and have it in Sports you are not going to get much in the way of MPG but … I drove from Gatwick to Reading ; put it in Eco ( to try it out ) and it returned 28. Happy to share the journey data sheet ! Off to Scarborough before year end . Dynamic on the AcRoads and Comfort on the Motorway. It seriously is not ridiculous fuel costs for a Supercharged V8. Have a successful year Jim .
I’ve had mine a week now. It fits my 2 kids in and a pram easily. It handles like a sports car, sounds like a sports and makes you smile like a sports car would. I get 17mpg average, and that’s with having a bit of fun. Don’t buy it as your daily unless you can spare a lot of cash because it is expensive to run. However, a 5.0 supercharged V8 that sounds this good in 2022 is an absolute master stroke from Jaguar. Enjoy it before it’s gone.
Very interesting review Jim, as usual. Didn't take me long to work out that I can't afford one, but I may start saving up for a jumper like the one you are modelling. I hope you and your family have a great Christmas - don't get too carried away with those healthy options!
Great Video, nice car, just need the lottery win first. Shame other manufacturers don’t try and make an easy infotainment system. Love Xmas jumper and hat!
You could of course go for a 24 month ex LR director SVR with circa 20k miles and only spend £45k to £50k (including a 3 year ext warranty). The money saved will help pay for the first few litres of fuel. I am fortunate to have an SVR F type and thankfully i can get the low to mid 30mpg if i avoid town commutes, and less than 10mpg when on the autobahn. Reliability has been outstanding and servicing is reasonable (i pay £42 per month 5 year service plan - only tyres extra). Also fortunate i have disability exemption so no road tax worries, mind you people do query blue badge until they see the chair (bespoke fitting in passenger footwell) Have a good xmas and look forward to your next review.
Good review, nice vehicle but as you point out a tad thirsty, reminds me of the old XJ6 4.2 which had similar mpg. Thanks for content, looking forward to your vids in 2023 👍
18 mpg, that's economical! I have a 2010 L320 normally aspirated 5.0 V8 RR Sport in my personal fleet here and with my short distance driving, its a 15.5 mpg car!
Well, when you look at it mmm the thing it’s not obvious that you’re compensating for something. Many of its direct rivals look way more footballers than this which is a little more subtle (until you fire it up)
I'm seriously considering selling my mazda cx5 and my f type V6s for one of these, i tow a caravan from time to time, can you imagine rocking up to a caravan and motorhome club site in one of these, i cant wait, just got to convince the wife.
Loving your Christmas Jumper mate! On a serious note, that sound is just…nasty 😮 but yeah 18mpg is frankly ridiculous but I agree, if you’re in the market for a 90 grand car fuel economy doesn’t really matter does it!
That’s it, if you want what this car offers it’s just part of having it, most people I know with huge V8’s accepted that before they purchased. Lovely thing if you e got the cash, the last of its kind I would imagine? Have a great Christmas mate, all the best to you and your family, be safe if you’re making the trip back to the fatherland 👍
-Liking the jumper.- -Nice jumper- Interesting Jumper. Did the missus buy it for you for Christmas? And now you have to wear it because she -told you too.- Well... Though on a disability pension, I'm going to have to wait till that _golden finger_ points in my direction 8-))...
1) I bought it myself in a moment of weakness but still feel compelled to share it with the world, 2) I made that point in the video - if you can afford the car (£90k for this one) then the price of unleaded is probably not an issue (runnign costs weren't actually THAT daft considering), 3) thanks for watching 👍

Good to see the economical version. These cars are going o be extinct soon which is a great shame. Neighbour just got rid of his Range Rover SVR and now has a hybrid RR Sport. Can no longer hear him leaving the house
@@raylancaster2712 Actually from the traffic lights the iPace would leave the F fumbling through the gears, despite what the 0-60 times say. However, have to agree, I would sooner have the F, just for the sound alone!

I agree Tony, for what it is the MPG is actually pretty ok. But for a penniless fool like me it’s harsh. Brilliant car 👍

It’s cheaper than the Jag, that’s for sure. The doctor has given me a week off!
Have a great Christmas 👍
Merry christmas Captain Jim and family, The best Automotive news is with him!!
Thank you Sir, to you too!

Yes, the infotainment system seems like a simple thing to get right but many fail. Have a good one Richard 👍
So not jealous Jim lol love that car it must be a dream to drive, merry Christmas to all your family xx
It’s a lovely thing. Same to you Angela 👍🎄

hmmm, my mpg is 19,5 and I dont hesitate to floor it on exits or overtakes as the sound is 👍, drive sport mode only, traction control never🤷🏼
Fair enough!
Had mine five weeks and have spent £614.98 on fuel. No better way to convert cash into beautiful noise
Jeez!
Very nice....think I might have a word with Santa 🎅
Go for it!
Prefer this than a range rover

Yes it's a brilliant package, but you get better performance in the I-Pace, at a fraction of the running cost. Is this just a 'swan song' car?
They’re not a new thing, I’m sure this will be the last of its kind but a very different beast to an I-Pace.
Better performance? Wrong. I pace 4.5 0-60mph F pace 3.8 0-60mph. The sound and it’s a bigger more practical car all round.
