Aminata Cairo at EAIE Helsinki 2019

The 31st Annual EAIE Conference and Exhibition came to a close with an illuminating keynote speech from Professor Aminata Cairo, a staunch advocate for inclusive education. Cairo brought the conference theme of 'encompassing all voices' full circle by speaking about how education systems tend to elevate the stories of 'dominant' groups. She called upon all in attendance to have the care, courage and humility that it takes to fight marginalisation.
