Or what about Roll in MVC2 and Tatsuno vs Capcom, she's a cleaning maid not a fighter yet they made her able to fight just like they did for Wright and he's arguably one of the most unique fighting game characters ever.

The epic splitscreen closeups before the cross-examination, the health bar, the fact that Phoenix can make people flinch, faint, inflict self harm, etc just by accusing them of something. It is kind of like a fighting game, sort of. A courtroom fighting game XD
@pimanhappy You can really tell how far the series has come, with regards to the technology. In the first game, there's five voice clips. In Edgeworth's second game, there's thirteen plus actual speaking dialogue (as in full sentences).
He is the closest character to B.B. Hood (from Darkstalkers) and Ran (from Project Justice.) These characters are unique because many of their moves are meant to be jokes, they either don't look like they are fighting even though they do damage, or moves look like completely different actions than actually trying to attack someone. (1 of BB Hood's moves is a sneeze, Ran attacks with a camera.)
