From a a supporter who doesn't follow either of these sides I have to say this is by far the best game of the year so far the bunnies ball use was extremely silky latrell was great and how good is Crichton and Cleary. WOW JUST WOW......

I was a bit sceptical of the Bunnies after the first 3-4 rounds but I think it's all but sealed. This team will be a top 4 side along with Penrith and probably my Broncos as well. It all comes down to that 4th spot. Who takes it? The Sea Eagles? Sharks? Warriors? Either way this year of NRL has been incredible, the teams are so even. Only 1 or 2 blowout games so far

After seeing so many one-sided blowout scores over the past few years, with many games being won by 40,50,60 points and teams even scoring 70 points I was worried that there wasn’t enough talent in the game and only a few teams were competitive which made it a very dull competition seeing so many lacklustre games and fans wouldn’t be interested in the game anymore, but this year has been absolutely brilliant with so many games being decided by less than a converted try and it all goes down to the wire, such heart beating edge of your seat stuff, even the games where you don’t support either of the teams and are a neutral you are in for an enjoyable and entertaining game and this is what the fans love, great entertaining close games that keep you hooked for the full 80, not the ones that are over before half time.
Tonight was no exception, great win for Souths to finally get the bunny off there back against Penrith (no pun intended), they were due for a win against them, even at 18-10 with less than 10 to go I had a strong gut feeling that something was brewing.
Great rivalry between two great teams.

Looks like Open Season has just kicked off in the race for this year’s Premiership. Penrith should’ve won, but basic defensive errors especially in their press and hit defence down the stretch cost them dearly. To give up a lead in less than 5 minutes really tells me that the Panthers invincibility is well and truly gone. And now it’s offically game on for the NRL Premiership Race for 2023

@@Atomiicstarr No. I know clearly that ball beats man 99% of the time. Their failure of cutting down the ball supply from the ruck really hurt Penrith. And South Sydney made their chances stick which was the difference at full time

What's the obsession with short kick off/ drop outs
Honestly it is the stupidest trend I've seen in years, smh
well, because attack has evolved so much in the game that a lot more points get scored nowadays, some teams find it better to try and get the ball back because even if you do a normal long dropout, the attacking team still gets within your 20 in half a set
Short dropouts are a good tactic, provided the team has a kicker who can be relied upon to get it right.
In several games, Mitchell's dropouts have resulted in penalties against Souths. If he can't get the basics right, then it's not worth the risk.

Back your defense on the back line carry. With the 40m 2 point drop rule teams have players that can drop kick the ball deeply. I can see though when teams get a kicker who can consistently put the ball in the air on the 10 allowing the ball to be challenged for a tap back it will be more efficient. Just a guaranteed 2 points and the ball back if you mess up with a good first set really changing the game.
