Bye! ☀️
I was in Tokyo over New Year, super clean, fascinating vending machines, everyone is extremely polite. Had an awesome time. Will definitely visit Japan again some day.
SO polite!!! Oh my gosh I almost find it awkward. Can't complain though. Hope you make it back!
I went to Japan almost thirty years ago. I liked it so much I never left.❤️🇯🇵 especially the toilets
Yea I think one of their airport ranked the most cleanest airport in the world.
i had been to fukuoka, osaka and tokya. everywhere the restrooms are absolutely clean. even in homes i stayed, thro airbnb arrangements the restrooms are so good.
Yes , most toilets are like that in Japan and are all sparkling clean. I’m huge fan of public restrooms in Japan. I did get a chuckle when you thought that hand wash was child’s urinal. Yes they do have child urinals but that isn’t one of them.
I just came back from 2 layovers in Tokyo the past week, the TOTO Washlet experience was something I loved
I'm going to be traveling to Japan this spring with my aunt to go see my cousin. It's my first time going on a plane and first time going to Japan. So I'm excited and can't wait to go there.
That's fantastic, have a great time and be sure to check out the awesome Tokyo bathrooms :)
日本の空港を紹介してくれてThank You!!
Good to see u in japan.may u keep visiting and make us enjoy....i really really like ur channel and u as well
Zeeshan Saleem Thank you so much!
Try narita hotel in chiba you will experience the best and beautiful comfort room they have
When I saw the title of this video in my feed I knew exactly what you'd be showing! I absolutely love the high-tech Japanese toilets. So much so that I ended up buying one. It takes a little getting used to. Now I can't imagine living without it. But apparently I didn't pay enough to receive the sound effect feature.
Sheldon Finlay Thats amazing!!! You have the built in dryer though? That was the best. Great, now I need a Japanese toilet 😄
I to just returned from 2 weeks in Japan, and have purchased a high tech toilet. Can't continue to live like a cave man
That was hilarious! What a complicated restroom. I'd love to travel Japan someday, I bet it's amazing, and not just because of the bathroom facilities. So are you still in the Philippines?
Well if you can ever book a layover in Japan it's a lovely place to refresh! It would be a cool place to visit overall but I know my dollar definitely went further in the Phils 😁
You stepped on the changing board with your shoes. So now you contaminated it for everyone else :-/
I know!! Realized that later, sorry 😏
I was about to say this. :)
"it knows i'm vlogging".. :)
Great MAE!
Thanks very much for your great videos, please keep them coming.
I have always liked your wonderful channel, and will always do. Regards!
Thanks so much! I will definitely keep them coming for you 😃
If you noticed, the urinal in the ladies restroom was small so to accommodate your young son or nephew. Also, bathrooms at the malls and train stations are similar although not as quite as clean (because of the heavy traffic of people)
I have been to Japan a couple of months ago and all of their toilets look like that!! That's crazyy ! :)
François Asal Awesome! Yes I could get used to these being everywhere 👍🏼
I had a chance to visit tokyo once.Yes these are complicated restrooms and when you step inside, for some time you just think what to do with all those buttons all around.
I suddenly switched on the sound button and I was worried why it was making noise of birds chirping and water fall sound🤣
you got to be kidding me. I can't wait to go to Japan to see first and foremost, toilets, I always judge a country by it's bathroom.
This one is actually accurate, thank you.
Finally I like ur videos
Japan is amazing and beautiful country in the worlds!!! I wanna to visit Japan! I Love Japan
I agree! I'd like to visit more of Japan too :)
Yes....I've been to Japan, back in '97. However, at that time public facility toilets had not quite come up to the modern era. Most toilets that I remember from that time were hole-in-th-ground squat holes. Back in 97 there was a hotel bathroom workers strike and many workers refused to get down on the floor anymore to clean the 'toilet'. I think that as a result of this Japan decided to step up it's game and come out with a whole bunch of electronic / automatic toileting features.
1 Q I have about your video: why is the 'little boys' urinal up so high? It seems to me that the only way a young male child could use the urinal is if someone lifted him up off the ground and held him over the urinal.
If you want to squat, use the squating toilet. That is why they have that no squating sign. If you squat on a sitting toilet, you might break the seat and get all your dirty feet on the seat.
Outside the airport, the bidet toilet is normal. Same as the squating toilet. And it is as clean anywhere, unless you have Chinese tourist around.
Were you at Narita airport? At Haneda (yes, Tokyo have two international airports) they don't have the sleeping booth. I wish they had those but instead they have sleeping benches under a full scale replica of a traditional Japanese wooden bridge.
Haneda is the official Tokyo International Airport. It is just situated just on the outskirt of Tokyo. Only certain carriers land at Haneda. I'm from Malaysia, our AirAsia planes lands at Haneda while our MAS planes land at Narita.
LUCKKKKYYYYYY Couldnt see a better place for a 10 hour layover
Yep I thought it would be a nice place! I have Hawaii and Guam on the way back.. Guam will be a new one!
Very nice video
That other sink is appearntly for rinsing out colostomy bags, and that dryer in the Unisex/Handicapped bathroom looks like a rebadged Mitsubishi Jet Towel mini
"I've checked in *all* the lady's rooms because...because I'm bored" HA HA HA HA HA !!!!
Oh god, that has to be one of the funniest things you've said!!
Those Japanese bathrooms look like the sets of the new "Star Trek" movies!! Probably don't have transporter rooms though. Although it being Japan it'll probably be just a couple years until they do 😉
Hahah yes it was true! I had to see if they were all the same or if new discoveries were to be made. Usually airport layovers don't have nearly as much Star Trek technology to keep you fascinated before your next flight. Especially in the bathrooms! 😁
Yes disabled restroom throughout Japan are more advanced than any disabled bathroom in hospitals in America.
So true! I wish America would step it up a bit
I wanted to take off my shoes because it is a table for changing clothes! Please come to Japan again:D
Thank you, i want to go to Tokyo alone, i will be mixed up alone! oufff
So many gadgets for a bathroom lol , I'll need to go and experience those bathrooms.
It's worth it just for the bathrooms! 😃
Video is interesting but since you are fully dressed you should do a brief demonstration how to use a toilet and other facilities of the bathroom. Nice video.
Omg what else do u need in the toilet?!! Wow. I need half and hour just to figure it out.
Crazy isn't it!
AMaeTV haha Yea....sci fi toilets!
Lol I never thought i'd watch a vlog on toilets.
Haha yep! I never thought I'd make a vlog on toilets but here we are 😄
Hope to see you here in PH! 😍 take care
Oh no! You stepped on the changing board with your shoes on! Just had a vision of little robots coming out from the walls with little brooms and waste bins sweeping up after you!
+MarcsAdventures Oh no I did!! I was too busy showing off the instructions to read them myself first. I like this robot vision though, I'm sure they were there as soon as I left and the lights went off 😂😂
MarcsAdventures what
Next month I would like to go to japan. And i think i have to learn using the toilet.. hahaha
Nice video dear Alicia.
BOBBY VATS Thanks Bobby!
You won’t find paper towels or sometimes not even air dryers because Japanese carry a hand towel of their own for that purpose. While serving in Afghanistan, we had the same issue with people squatting on the toilets. They didn’t lift the seats and would slip and rip the seats off of the toilets. We had to also put up signs, not necessarily a cleanliness issue more of a safety and damage issue.
Narita Terminal 1 has regular toilets and squat toilets. Nothing fancy.
Just pray that you don't get a squat toilet when you have gut problems.
The reason they don't want you to squat on a regular toilet, is because you can break the toilet bowl - yes it's happened at my University in New Zealand and you're in the next cubicle.
Aloha from Hawaii, real kool video ! When I was in Africa that was the first time I seen a floor toilet lol. No coffee, really ? shit !
Aloha! Glad you enjoyed it! Yes some places while traveling have not so nice toilets.. Japan is not one of those places 😄
Good video. Bidet used All over the world so i guess my question to the Americans. How do you clean your bottom after #2 without using water ?? A puzzle to others and not touched issue. 😉
We just use toilet paper, and that works pretty well! Of course daily showers get us extra clean too 😃 Americans do a lot of things nobody else does haha.
nuwayef Russell Peters did a joke about this 😂 It’s something Asians will never understand about Westerners 🤷🏻♀️
With the mother's guidance , their toddler boys use the mini urinals in the ladies room. In the children's play space, shoes need to be taken off.
Thank you for the clarification! I feel awful for keeping shoes on.. but now I know and will definitely remove them should I play there again 😄
Nice info👌
THATS COOL
日本人だけど見てしまうwww
同じ人いる?ってかいてほしい(;Д;)(;Д;)
Nice
that's nice..so that is it, I was on my way back from China to USA and I stop in Narita airport..that the way think are in there...by the way, one more nice video..I still so in love with you.
You should know how big Tokyo is
Did she you sit on the toilet
You were suppose to take your shoes off when you were rocking the pony at the end of the vid. oops.
Yeah I realized that later... haha oops!
I'll be in Japan next month. I always enjoy visiting there. Those electronic bidets are super common in Korea. Pretty much every modern house has one. I think the urinal in the Lady's room is for moms with young sons. I don't know about America but it's super common for a mom to bring their son into the lady's room or a dad to bring their daughter into the men's room. Look forward to you trip in the Philippines, another country I really love! I hope Boracay is somewhere in the plans^^
CampingCarJoa Awesome! I'll look forward to them in Korea if I ever visit. Yep Americans bring their kids in too, we just don't usually have the luxury of separate appliances for them. I think it's great though! Looking forward to what I'll be able to film here in PI, it's a great country so far 😊
CampingCarJoa Also enjoy your trip to Japan!! I've been twice but still have never left the airport. Hoping you will make some great videos there 😄
A tip next time you have an over night layover in Narita. Take the free hotel shuttles to Narita City. I think you will be shocked and amazed~^^
I'm visiting batangas, Philippines this may. such wonderful pleasing people,
@@campingcarjoa yea I've seen those Japanese toilet in Korea as well. Maybe they may make their own by now. And in the US you can actually buy them too and you can install by yourself 🙂
It is common everywhere. Some are far better and some aare a bit lower but all clean. Cleanest in the world I should say.
And I'm leaving from tokyo tomorrow he he. Btw urinal in the women's bathroom is for children I think
Yes I have discovered that! The children are treated well here :)
I am Indian Citizen so I am not coming Japan
Indian had USA 1 RS so Indian have 50 RS
Eaattt bersih sih ..masa mau ke Jepang , mau review toilet
I love Japan but I am kid 13 year old I love Japan but I am Indian City son
The airport is cleaner than most people house in the uk never mind the dirty buses in Birmingham most place in the uk r so dirty
Why is there a urinal in the ladies’ room at 3:53?
Good lord. Look at the gizmos!!
They're crazy! The chirping birds are my fave
It can be intimating. When in doubt check it out. Except for wand cleaner. I’m not brave enough to try that one. 🥴
I think is squat toliet
ok
The urinal is for young boy that must stay closer to their mother. While the mother is taking a leak. The mother can't go inside the men's room to guide his little son right.
Yes it is! How nice for the moms :)
Shoes strictly prohibited.
2:16
Have you ever seen an Indian water closet?
Mick Walker I have not!! I hope to visit India soon though.. what can I expect of this water closet? Chirping bird sounds? 😄
They are DEFINITELY not as nice, ha ha.
AMaeTV you ever attended the oWASP AppSec Europe conference? I may be speaking (if I accept) at their event next year owasp.github.io/AppSecEurope2017/
AMaeTV expect a unsanitary hole in the ground. It's an amazing country though, I was privileged enough to work there a couple of years ago. Did two week rotations, so I worked from the UK for 2 weeks, then spent 2 weeks out in India for a year, gave me a fantastic opportunity to experience the truly unique culture.
I'm travelling out there again in March on my honeymoon.
I want go Japanese
GOOD
what do you do for a living to go around the world all the time for vlog? lol
Bartman610 I work in marketing and on-camera hosting for a cyber
security company/ UA-cam channel called SecureNinja. I also have this business, AMaeTV, which is why I'm traveling now 😁
AMaeTV your living an amazing life! im jealous of you!
WAIT I SAW THAT IN CHINA
PLEASE take off your shoes before you get on the changing board!! That's the whole point about this board!!
I learned this later on! I will be sure to remove them next time.
Good!! Thank you for the video though!! :) :)
In Middle East and Asian countries right up to the the Far East, using water to finish after defecating is considered hygienically and bodily properly cleansed. A standard barrier of the height of civilization - not just to appear clean bodily outwards but internally as well. In Muslim households, one is potty trained from very young to use the appropriate hand. The right hand for eating and food consumption, the left hand for washing ones bottom. The two separate uses of the hand are ingrained. However, you clever westerners even after finger-licking your BBQ chicken-wings and fish 'n chips, you still need to wash your hands thoroughly however much you wipe your hands with paper and tissue to remove that residue smells and stickiness. Anal and genital areas are no different than washing your hands after relieving oneself of natural bodily function without which we would all fall ill, feel uncomfortable and most probably suffer from the uncontrollable impromptu bouts of fluctuation i.e farting. Defecation is simply getting rid of what you consumed earlier through your mouth!. This video is certainly the high-tech end of anal/genital area cleansing - something not even found in even in the most advanced western cities. Can one deduce from this that anal/genital cleansing is not part western culture in their lavatorial habits. Would I eat peanuts/crisps from the same sharing bowl? Hmmm!
So you survived Japanese toilets
Survived? They were a delight to experience!
HELLO 👋
The "shower" sink is actually for people with colostomies to wash soiled clothes or their body.
Maybe the urinal is for baby boys accompanying women
That's right haha
Don't they normally just have squat toilets everywhere lol
Some mothers bring their toddlers (boys) with them to the bathroom
primalcaptive Ahhh you've solved the mystery! Makes sense.. also explains why they are out in the open. I was just too tired to think of that at the time 😆 thanks!
It is a male child’s urinal for when mothers take their children in with them...
00:38 There’s another Tokyo? What a vacuous ditz.
I've lived in Europe my whole live and there are no Bidets type toilets in any country in Europe lol
stralerman Interesting.. what country do you live in? I suppose I mostly only saw them in Italy and France.. not exactly everywhere, and not up north now that I think about it
Yeah definitely in France.
AMaeTV I live in Holland and I've pretty much been in almost every country here
The little "urinals" are because the Japanese still practice very early pottying - from just past the newborn stage they hold their babies over a sink or in a public washroom a baby toilet so they use it instead of the toilet. Here in North America, we call it "elimination communication" in Japan you can get wonderful split pants for babies to help with this.
Wow! That's interesting. I've been looking into this 'elimination communication' thing now that I have a 9 month old.. The Japanese do have a lot of wisdom so if that is a standard over there maybe it's something worth fully exploring. Thanks for the insight!
Urinal in t he womens bathoom is for the Mother with young son...DUHHH
I never leak, I never leak, I never leak...
-Tow Mater
From India
I need other vlog about men toilets
You'll need another vlogger for that :)
Low urinals in women's bathroom are for the mom's who have little boys😊
🇲🇽
very beautiful vedio who are u
Thank you!
There is no toilet.
It is a cockpit.
I would assume the low urinal in the ladies room is for ladies with small male children, perhaps? That's all I can think of, anyway.
Why did you step on the board with shoes? You knew what that was for! Nooo, please.
those luxurious toilets are not everywhere in Japan to see I´m afraid
Ohhh that's too bad. At least we can enjoy them on long layovers!
No paper towels because Japan does NOT want to waste "paper", so all japanese carry Handkerchiefs so they do not waste "paper". The Japanese also carry their own Chopsticks(hashi) so they do not waste "wood" on disposible chopsticks....
Magnificent
Yeah, I had an incident with a squat toilet at a japanese airport.... I was completely NOT expecting it and when I walked in I was like "okay... what do i... how do i..." and after a couple minutes of thinking, it was a success. hahahahaha. i love that memory!! www.tripdontfall.xyz/japan/culture-shock
Haha that's awesome! Cool blog post.. I too always think about the old people and how they manage! I suppose we will never know.
Imagine squatting when in winter and all those layers.Haha
Not bathroom, but toilet room in japan
5:25 paper towels behind you 😑
😆 toilet paper actually!
WHAT THE BUYER IS AND SHOULD BE AFRAID OF AN ADD-ON BIDET?
As the water stream comes from inside the toilet bowl, he is afraid that the water is contaminated by microbes. This fear is justified, no matter if the bidet is covered or not. The real danger is lying on the spout, hidden or not, where the water springs up. The other parts are indifferent.
So, when other people as well are going to use the bidet, the only real defense is to leave 2-3 drops of a good disinfectant on the want spout. (That is not enough for bidets with warm water, for which things get more perplex).
KO BIDET for you to be sure safe and comfortable.
The urinal in the ladies room is so you can take your male child in there if your not with your husband
That’s right
You are funny
