    When I visited Japan, my friend and I went to a bar and got drunk.
    The place looked nice, but it was underneath a railway and to go the bathroom you had to cross a kind of storage construction corridor.
    I wasn't even expecting a hole at this point, but man was I wrong.
    I opened the door, the lights switched on, the toilet seat opened and the toilet greeted me.
    Best bathroom experience ever! I came back half an hour later to my friend and told him he HAD to check out the bathroom.

I finally tried one out. After you go, there were 3 different cleaning cycles to choose from, sort of like a modern car wash. Also, you could choose "back" or "front", I assume the latter is for menstruating women (as a male I did not try). A little arm swings out under your butt, and proceeds to do a power wash. Even the gentle cycle was almost too much for me. After that, a tiny hair dryer swings out and dries everything up. No toilet paper needed.

      @@llywelynddraig853 You do know that every other normal toilet seats are also made out of plastic anyway, right?

    • @UKTeslaPicker
      @UKTeslaPicker Рік тому +1

      @@llywelynddraig853 An average American family uses around 500 rolls per year
      Now factor in growing time for trees to reach maturity (10-20 years) and where it's come ftom; forest farm or ancient woodland / habitat destruction?
      Then there is the transportation of wood, processing it into paper, making it suitable for purpose (bleaching, chemicals) and then transporting it to the store (wrapped in plastic packaging) and then you having to go out and buy it...
      The tons of fuel burnt so you can wipe your butt is definitely greater than the toilet seat which should hopefully last for decades?
      Also, people don't realise that tissue and toilet paper actually contain micro plastics (aka cellulose), these go on to cause real problems for municipal filtering and likely end up in our drinking water / ecosystems anyway.
      Im sure you clean your butt in the shower, so why not do it at the toilet as well?

      Every person I try to recommend this to in real life thinks it's weird. Doesn't matter how many analogies I try to use like wiping shit off your bare hands using nothing more than a paper towel, it's always the same.

      I had the attachment, ended up using more paper than before to wipe the water off of the butt (it would wet the full moon too tooo much). I don't think I can afford (or have room for) the jet dry.

      You can get virtually all the features with just the seat. They range from just the bidet for $30 to one with the heated seat, heated water, dryer, nightlight, auto-open, pre-mist, and deodorizer for a few hundred. You definitely do not need a full toilet. It sounds dumb, but it's sort of a quality of life game changer. Spend the $30 you'll regret every day you didn't.
