I disagree. They need to stop serving exotic foods and deep fried pork it gives a bad reputation on Filipino cuisine. Philippines is already known for having the worst food in Asia because filipinos keep promoting exotic caveman food.

The hybrid food is awesome! Philippines isn't limited by tradition. Look at all the PInoy men with non-Asian girlfriends. There's a whole new batch of hybrid babies on the way.

@@eduardochavacano Spanish erased it, even the written language. Wasn't the choice of the people. We just found the original sanskrit a few decades ago. They destroyed the old shrines, installed Christianity.
The pre-colonial culture is still alive, though. The languages are still used and the personalities are still alive. Most of the native cultures Spain across are extinct. Most of them don't have any of their original food, they just eat Spanish food. Most of the old languages have been unspoken for centuries.
So I look on the bright side. Because of the reset, there's no enemy culture for Filipinos. Like the Korea-Japan grudge. There's no ancient rules that keep the cuisine from evolving. They don't care about preserving the bloodline.
The new culture is based on manners and morality. Very simple and it keeps life simple. Instead of relying on ceremonies, ranks, and rituals.
Try chocolate meat from baccara, ilocos sur 🇵🇭 the best dinuguan in the Philippines !

Most Filipino food is underrated. We try to pass along my wife's cooking to as many are willing to try, and the majority love the food. Some foods such as Balut or Dinuguan is an aquired taste and most pass on it. The other issue is that Filipino Restaurants here in BC Canada are very expensive compared with more common Thai or Chinese.

Filipino food is great. But none of the good stuff was presented on this food festival. They stalls selling Shanghai Lumpia and Chinese Siomai and Chinese pancit canton is sad. And why is there NACHOS. You will never see a Buritto in a Japanese food fair or a Sushi in a French food fair. Filipino food markets should sell authentic Filipino and not things as ordinary Fried Pork Belly, which the Chinese and Mexicans can do 17 times better. The key to promoting Filipino is to not think of profit alone.

Let's be honest Filipino foods is not that much popular because of to much oil not much new always the same Pancit/Shanghai and stuff like that we need to upgrade
