    Using a breaker bar really helps and makes it much easier. It gives you better leverage.

    Try a breaker bar to help release the bolt

    Good video bro a good tip for the caliper bolts when you have your ratchet set up use a rubber mallet and hit the end of the ratchet it’s gonna be so much easier to get the bigger bolts off.

    Awesome video, only suggestion is that you should've put high-temp grease on the caliper pins before re-installing them since the caliper slides on those pins.

    Use a breaker bar and liquid wrench to bust the caliper bolts. Another trick is a small torch to heat bolts to loosen

    You make that look so easy but I know if I go look and my car right now I’d be like 🤔🧐😅🥴

    Did you have to pop the break fluid lid before compressing the caliper piston?

    That small 6mm Allen for the rotor mounting screw, needs to be torqued to 16Nm (12ft lbs). I might replace my rotors as well. My 2016 428i is my weekend car. I only have 27823 miles on the car. So, at 30k when I do the 30k servicing, I might redo the rotors and brake calipers.

    Nice video, but usually it is worth to replace sensor wire as well.

      Thanks! They were replaced, these rotors came with some, I should’ve included that in the video. Didn’t realI’ve until afterwards.

    What torque specs did you use on the caliper bolts man?

  • @rjdimonda

    The bolts that you took off seem to be unnecessary to remove. The 8mm pin bolts that have rubber covers on them should have been removed and then also greased when replaced as the caliper moves on them. They also are not as tight, as someone else mentioned below (12 ft lbs) so you won't struggle as much.

    How did this swap work out for you? Any squeaky like noises after you replaced the rotors?

    • @Metoy3r
      @Metoy3r  4 роки тому +1

      No noises or complaints here. Braking was a whole lot better. 10/10 recommend

    bro may be u should go get the brembo, which is the 435i caliper. Anyway that look sick!

      Doubt brembos’ are needed unless he’s tracking the car. The main component for stopping power are the pads and rotors. Hence, why carbon ceramics and drilled/slotted rotors are the popular go to for better “bite” and heat resistance.

    Hey do you think it will be just as easy for F32?
