"Pawn Stars" follows three generations of the Harrison family as they assess the value of items coming in and out of their Gold & Silver Pawn Shop in Las Vegas, from the commonplace to the truly historic.
“I’d like to sell this to buy something that loses 50% of its value in 4 years.”
The Italian "Casablanca" poster he referenced actually sold at auction for $478,000 in 2017 - not $200,000. And he under-appraised her poster by more than $300,000, as I know collectors who who would spend $350k - $400k on it in that condition. She was right to keep it. It's worth a small fortune. That appraisal was a joke.
Please put me in touch with your collectors who will buy it for $350 to $400k. Thank you.
She was smart to walk in with it framed so we don't hear them say, "well i have to mat it, get it framed" lol!
its like their framer charges a % of the value lol
No she wasn't smart.....she took it to Pawn Shop
@@hansvonschlader8227 maybe you're not smart because that is not just a pawn shop
Nothing smart about it. She had it displayed at her house so it ought to be framed
@@abrown4835 it’s time. It takes a while to get it framed and it costs money.
She needs that 100k for more plastic surgery.
implying her husband didnt pay for all that
Whoever did the plastic surgery the first time did a horrible job
Schmidty030 LMAO you ain't kidding 😂😂😂
Why are you hating? She’s hot as fuck; especially for her age.
Schmidty030 yup
She walked outside and got on a bang-bus.
should have said the poster and a BJ for 100 and corey would do it
Sause
Mike-Hawk was driving and Mike-Hunt was in the back.
What's a bang bus? 🚌
@@faithingod9554 it's a bus that breaks down all of the time, making a bank noise
how to downgrade from a ranger rover to a fiat panda
That's probably the smartest customer I've ever seen go into Pawn Stars she got a value from a reputable dealer and figured out she could sell herself without getting ripped off
She isn't the owner of the poster. The expert who came in is the actual owner of the poster. It was all staged and set up by the History Channel. That expert owns a movie poster shop called CineMasterpieces, and he has that actual poster still up for sale for $125,999.
@@SCW031992 she does own it im her son i was there when she bought it dumbasss
@@chrissiringo1200 very true
@@chrissiringo1200 I thought she said in the video that it was given to her because they couldn't pay her.

If auction house is taking 30k on 100k sale
Find a new auction house
Supply and demand....
If its the biggest auction for this stuff every buyer will be there. Wich means it gives the seller a opportunity to sell it for more. Not every day someone walks in to the shop spending 100k.
most auction houses take a 30% cut
Most big auctionhouses takes that big cuts. And if you find some that take less they probably dont have the clientell to buy the item at the right price.
Yeah, like ebay
Sell a lot at auction, do ya?
100k for a piece of paper. People are insane.

Is this English?
100k is made od paper too

Nah, you speak French. You also smell like tunafish.
I know. How can the declaration of Independance be that high. Pffft
Hospital : Sir your bill is $25 000
Rick: Best I can do is $20, I’m taking a big risk here
ColdTurkey
What a great comment.
Old meme.
@Anthony Tsatsis You mad?
Lol. Rick is cheaper than a plastic penny
She wants to trade in an asset that is appreciating in value for something that will depreciate like a rock and spend half it's time in the shop. She's pumped full of plastic surgery so, makes sense.
Rick comes in..."Uhhhh, I'll give you 2k for it. I mean, I take all the risk plus I have to frame it and..." Hot MILF: "It's already framed you 'tard!" Rick:"Urrrr, yeah, but it needs a special pawn shop frame, to protect it from Chumlee dropping it, and the Old man from drooling on it, when he naps on it."
The old man is six feet under... don't think he is going to drop anything.
She wouldn't say "'tard", because she's not a 12 year old edgy teenager.
This is like the holy grail of movie posters.
"How much you lookin' to get out of it?' "Im lookin' to get $120,00. I need more Botox."
I bet she was very friendly with the guy she got it from. He was so impressed.
That is one of the holy grails of movie posters!
This is the cat's meow.
Mr. Brown and this movie poster get along famously!
Funny because I think it is ... only 50 in the world ...
It's actually not. The holy grails are original Universal monster posters from the pre-1936. Those sell for $500,000 - $1.5 million. There are only one or two for each film known to still exist. The original German poster for Metropolis, the silent German film, is the holiest of holy grails of movie posters.
It’s probably not even hers, I bet it’s her ex’s. No wonder she is looking to buy a Range Rover with the money
And, by "Range Rover, she really means "plastic surgery".
Trevor Both are terrible investments
@@JuanGarcia-fv9ph they depreciate so so fast, just like her face.
She brought the MADMAX poster in too. Funny how its the same person
If I were cynical I would say that that women is a shill for the expert, who's probably evaluating a piece from his own shop. He gets free advertising, and the producers pay next to nothing for the segments. It wouldn't shock me at all if most of the high value rare items 'sold' on the show are staged.
The first time I saw Casablanca was in 1977 on a reel to reel in my friend's dads movie basement. I was 10 years old, blew my mind. 2 reels, that was just before I actually went to the movies and saw Slap Shot(Paul Newman) and Star Wars. Good Times!!!
Can I guess your age?
I think You Are 51...
Women like that dont just walk into a pawn shop with an item like that unless 1) Her sugar daddy put her out to pasture for a younger one OR 2) Her sugar daddy put her out to pasture for a younger one. And sadly, that poster PROBABLY was her official "walking papers". LMAO
She say, I want to buy a range rover from the money, But she really wants a good facial botox fix job..
Very wise move! Dont get fooled by these guys saying "Oh I need to pay auction fee and it could be sitting in the shop for quite while" etc... they all bull shitting
Well thats business.
What do you expect them to say.
Sure ok any price you want. Ya right
How does he know it was an original without even taking it out of the frame? Plenty of repro posters have the right measurement & quality printing these days.
Yes!
It’s in a frame... I’m gonna have to take it out of the frame.
Pretty sure her sugar daddy could buy that Rover for her.
He’s already traded her in for a newer model.
Yup, she's WELL past her use-by date.
It would be hilarious if she tripped on her way out and broke the poster! Suddenly it would be worthless lol he offered her 60,000$
WesleyAPEX id feel bad for her. Why should she accept 60k whe she can auction for above 100k
WesleyAPEX www.latimes.com/entertainment/la-et-entertainment-news-updates-july-how-much-is-the-world-s-most-expensive-1501453627-htmlstory.html
Sold last year for almost 500k holy crap lol
MoneyMager she made a GREAT decision, unlike 90%+ of the people who accept their low-ball offers, because their poor and desperate for money.
WesleyAPEX
"Broke" the poster?
@@MoneyMager thats not the same poster. The one that sold for that was an italian version that was way bigger than this one.
Someone REALLY needed to be on TV. 😂 There always Live PD y'all!!!
Corey just instructed her how to auction off the poster and make $70k, while offering her $60k.
Uh, it's not a state secret..... Except maybe to you......
Auctions take time while she can get the 60k immediately.
Clever girl
Outa all hatered full comments i found the one the matches what i would have written
She wanted the full value at a PAWN SHOP . She also wanted to buy a TATA vehicle of all brands. Not too clever
Yeah, real clever. How do you pay bills with a poster?
Clever girl or Cover girl
Talk about lip injection!
Matt Master who cares it’s still there lmao. i ain’t complaining
Bravo bravo the first smart women negotiator on this show!! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👍 good decision!
Finally someone dealing with Corey and the item is framed. No "I'm going to have to get it framed" argument.
She has a valley girl accent and she has to be 50.
I remember my dad got two of these from close elderly friend of ours as a gift. He thought they were useless and after years of having them in his garage he trashed them........Lmfao I just had to show him this video and his day just got pretty bad.
It's your job. that's what kids are for.
They where fake and is why they where gifted to your dad.
Hopefully they were replicas or else your dad threw away more than 200K smh
whosedatbhindu don't feel bad. The condition of the poster is *everything*. Perhaps your dad's posters were close to zero.
What a wonderful poster! One of the best films ever made. It’s an insult that she wants to trade this rare gem for a Range Rover!
Hope she gets the rover only to find out what a money pit it is lol Nice poster though
She later sold it for 224k
@Oscar Trent01 don't think we're getting any
This is the most calm I have seen Corey
Interesting how the same woman also had a very rare Mad Max poster on an episode I saw recently. Neither poster sold to the store, the same expert came in, and both posters are now being sold by the expert on ebay for the prices she was asking... I wonder if they know each other?
So Happy she kept it! She will get close to $200.000 in an auction Just takes 2 bidders!
Corey lied about paying $30'000 to the auction house if it sold at $100k. 25% is 0k standard fee, but it's even less if the item sells for 10k or more. The auction house would not take more than 10k on it
0:02 1842 or 1942
Next Yanny or Laurel over here folks
Jonathan Cena 1942 why would she say 1842
YOU CAN SEE THE SET IN THE TOP LEFT 1:19 😂
Oh shit
LMAO
Good catch!
That's not a set it's the frame of the ceiling
Yes it is the frame of the building...they just walk around with the cameras
It takes more than that to determine if it is real. You would need to view it removed from the frame. So a replica couldn’t be the same size with the publishing company name? 🤦♂️
Its 27x41 it must be real lol. Good expert.
anyone else notice a pattern that they never ever buy any high-dollar items unless it's silver gold or coins
Gabriel Howard their store IS called Gold and Silver
Nah they bought some high dollar items in the past videos
They've bought plenty of expensive art and movie props in the past. But they probably try to avoid stuff like this because more money means more risk. Precious metals, generally speaking, are always a sound investment though.
Thats because they ask people to appear on their show with interesting items. I first noticed this when I sae the NES Punk appear on the show trying to sell his Nintendo World Championship game cartridges. Before I saw him on the show, he talked about difficult it was to obtain these games. Also he loves collecting NES games, and he had a large collection, and why would any game collector part with the most valuable video game in the world?
I know a collector who would drop $100,000 on that poster, he is a super fan.
Smart move. She got it on TV from an "expert" that it's genuine. She now has additional provenance on the poster. It should fetch a pretty sum at auction because it was featured in pawn stars.
The episode is fake. She doesn't own the poster and is just a paid actress
Corey is laid back and one of fairest guys to haggle with.
U would think the expert would ask to see the poster outside of the glass?..just saying..ps bogart is the best actor all time! imho.
Smart lady, that poster is easily worth $150k
Dear goodness. I’ve been collecting and selling movie posters for over 20 years. No expert measures a poster in the frame. And replicas can have the NSS paragraph on the bottom too. I know it’s just a show, but you gotta pull the dang thing out and go over it with a fine-toothed comb for that money. The paper type will tell you a lot. And most posters pre 1984 came folded. So the fact she has a poster from 1942 without the normal eight folds is hyper rare and suspicious. On a non-related note, I’ve always thought Casablanca is one of the most boring looking posters in all of cinema history. Pass.
He did say he saw the folds in it. Being a guy who is a professional on these posters he probably has the poster himself so it didn’t take long for him to appraise it and figure out its authentic. Just my thought. Still a boring poster.
Italian one sold for 200k but this one is only worth 100k? Was this an Italian movie?
U need to sell the poster so u can buy a land rover!!!!! Good luck whit the maintenance
She's buying a Range Rover. So she likes spending money mindlessly.
OMG. THAT OLD WOMAN SELLING THE POSTER HAD SOME BAD PLASTIC SURGERY.
Wise Move, she has had a free professional valuation, and confirmation that the poster is original.
Forget the silly Range Rover, keep this poster, it will alway's maintain its value and desirability, and real collectors would lose sleep knowing the poster exists in this condition.
She isn't the owner of the poster. The expert who came in is the actual owner of the poster. It was all staged and set up by the History Channel. That expert owns a movie poster shop called CineMasterpieces, and he has that actual poster still up for sale for $125,999.
Range Rover? lol
People that spoiled rich (or richer) make me want to puke.
She said auction herself at the end dang big plays
Hey call Rebecca for this!!!
Lets call Rebecca so we can all take a look at her
That lady had more plastic in her face than the Tupperware section in Walmart…
never thought that it's all they need to check the legitimacy of a poster
I can't believe it I brought the pawn shop the original blueprints to the World Trade Center they said that they were not interested when the value of those blueprints could be worth a million dollars
You hear it's worth 100K and you offer 40?? That's all I'd have to hear to grab it and walk out.
"Who I took it from is reputable."
That person also hired them and couldn't pay them.
I thought it was going to be fake like her face.
She wanted to pay cash for that Range Rover lol 😂
Who the hell taught Corey how to shake hands? Ever notice how he comes in at an angle instead of your straight ahead conventional hand shake?
he learned it from Rick, he does the same thing
He does it twice. 3:49 and 4:32
He comes to shake hands from a wide angle instead of straight ahead like most people.
Look at Big Hoss spitting game at this GILF!
Sadly I'm so stupid I think if I seen that at a garage sale I probably wouldn't pay $20 for it. (before seeing this episode ofc)
People only buy Range Rovers for status. The maintenance is thru the roof. On a side note, a collector friend of mine owns a chair from Rick’s cafe.
Guy:its worth a million buck
Corey:i can offer 10k
Seller:wtf
Corey:i gotta make some money off it
Seller:can u do 11k
Corey:sorry if u change ur mind tell me i am here
His offer was completely fair, like he said, to get that money he'd have to put it up for auction, maybe more than once, if it goes for 100k and he gets 70k after auction fees, he has to make a profit. They're not going to pay retail prices, otherwise they'd go out of business. She got an offer of 60k there and then, no fees, no travel, no waiting for an auction to come along, etc
uni witch he offered $60k you tard way way way more than a normal pawn shop would pay! After yhe normal 6 month auction waiting time i doubt they would make anything at all $60k too much for resell! Don't go into business son you be bankrupt in a month
😂😆😂
Its just a joke bro
Well, obviously it wasn't that funny, Uni Witch...
Does action really takes 30%? He said auction will take 30k usd for 100k item?
Of all the comment sections on all the videos in all the world... Mr.Brown walks into mine.
Your guy said 100
Best I can do is 60 because auction fee...
Me: THAT'S NOT MY PROBLEM!
Dress up sort of sexy and go try to sell it to the boys. Might not work so good if they know they can get a better deal. She should have researched her customer as well as she researched the poster. But then again she did get a free appraisal so maybe she's smart enough after all. Don't underestimate the ladies, not ever.
Fell asleep smoking ... Now she will take 50$
100 thousand and up *even tho recently an italian poster in god knows what condition went for 200k this guy was trying to undersell the value on it, its a beautiful piece
People will sell anything to play the one armed bandits🎰🎰
How many of these items were pawned for drugs ? I feel like a lot seeing as they are happy to bring it to a pawn shop to get lowballed
I don't see how a movie poster can be graded when its framed up like this. The right size, good print quality and fold lines can be reproduced especially when there's a chance to make $100k off a sheet of paper. I feel like this guy already knew this was an authentic poster before walking in, probably through a documented record of provenance, and he just gave it a cursory look for the cameras without actually explaining what made it authentic.
Ok,ok…I collect movie posters…through heritage auction house; I can tell looking at it, it’s a replica . Also there actually is the exact same poster up for auction, likely will sell for under 100k. Pawn stars are known for this type of lies.
Corey says I need to be able to make at least $10,000. The expert says this should be able to sell for a hundred thousand plus. Corey offers woman $40,000?! What an a******!
Range Rover... that crap will break down at 50k miles and she'll have wish she never sold the poster.
People don't understand what Auction houses do. If she wants $100,000 good luck have it sitting on Ebay for 100 years.
Just give him that single poster for 60k. 🤣
That woman is a definite gold digger just from the looks itself.
I can't understand how a movie poster can be worth that much money.
I hear people say that old movies like this are the best. I don't get any enjoyment out of them. They all seem so bland, boring, no action.
lol he offered 40. when the guy just told him 100 and up, you didn't even start at 50 percent, minumum. Id have walked as soon as he tried to anchor the bid to shit
$40,000 are you kidding!!!
Expert said $100,000+
Watch out for Cory!!!!!!
Quick check on Heritage Auctions will tell her the value.NEVER sell to a pawn shop!!!!!!
Lol this man is a joke poster worth about 100k and up and offers 40k saying that someone might buy it for 70k lol this man bunch of bull
Why would they need to take it to a auction? Pawn stars is huge and they have connections. Anyone who would want to buy it will know they have it. They could put it on their website and sell it there for Max price or have people bet on it
The famous Corey Screw job as usual…… $40k insult is about it.
She really did her research. Everything he said about the poster including its value is what the expert said
She should have sold at $60,000 Let the shop take the chances. that money now is worth it. Wish we knew how much she sold it for.
Who get a gift and expect to get money for it its sade the women check to see how much its wearth before taking it if I was the pre owner I would have burn it before giving it to her ungrateful people in the world there's people dieing in the world and you get people like that
$100,000 take off 0,000 and you’ll be getting closer some people are just plain and simple greedy.
Who she got it from she says is very reputable but yet they couldn't afford to pay her so she took this in lieu of payment. This show is so bad.
