Made this yesterday. I was going out of the book.
I would recommend using half the sugar (it was very sweet) & And soak the ladyfingers for a few seconds, not just quickly roll them in the liquid like the book said. I would also make twice as much filling for a thicker cream layer.

Oh yea! So that's what zabelyones are (I don't know if I spelled it right.) When Sophia on The Golden Girls said, "I'm not happy with my Zabelyones." And Blanche answered, "Well maybe you just need a push up bra." LoL she thought that Sophia was talking about her chest "girls." LoL
Now I know what zabelyones are! I never knew what she was talking about, except I knew she was cooking some sort of dessert. Hahahaha great! Now I need to taste one or two
I can’t have alcohol. I wonder if I just did water, lemon and sugar if it would still be good.

I was really happy you did the swordfish recipe, that k you for that. Do you have a y dessert dishes that are dairy free I'm allergic to all dairy , I was raised on goat milk, from birth then when I tried it again it gave me the same reactions is cow dairy then I have the same old chronic bronchitis condition, is there a y hope for me ?
