shouldn't it be that the 16th [G] nucleotide in the mRNA suppose to be Uracil because it is the base pair for the 16th [A] nucleotide in the template strand? clarify this one please.
Great observation Ashley, It was a mistake on my part. Thanks for pointing it out...
Actually no 16th nucleotide, the provided sequence is only 15 bases, you mean the 13th nucleotide in the template should be C instead of A, for the sequence to code for Asp amino acid after translation.
Oh my god .......you explained quantum physics just like in 3 mins😂😂...my god u were awsmmm
Thank you very much. Deeply Appreciated. Highly recommended this video for a person who wants to learn sense strand and anti strand and codon and anti codon. Please continue your videos.
Concise,crisp and clear.
Liked it.
Thank you so much! This video is wonderful. Best one i have found. Thank you.
template strand =antisense=noncoding=-very strand ..finally got it thanks
This video was very helpful, thanks!
Very clear and accurate
Loved it
Simple and good explaination
Thank you for the video. It helped sort out much confusion!
Thank you so much!!! You explained it perfectly!!!
thank you sir..
you makes it very easy wonderful explanation ...👌👌👌
Such a wonderful video it clears all my doubt thanks🥰
Did anyone tell you, i love you for making these lovely wonderful video!!
The video overall was very informative and helpful..but I think there's a mistake in the 5th codon of antisense strand of DNA where A is written corresponding to G (in the sense strand).
Antisense strand is written wrong. In 5th codon it would be CTG
There is a big confusion....in some books its written that mRNA is the same as template strand whereas in some websites it states that mRNA will be the same as coding strand??? Can anyone clarify??
Really helpful to me....thank u Sir
Amazing summary. Makes so much sense. I study in Norway. That helped a lot. Do keep posting videos like these.
Hi Karthika
Great encouragement to do more. Thank you so much for the visit and nice comment
There is a big mistak in this vidio.
Great lecture. Thanks
Great Video. Thanks.
Awesome video thanks!
So basically the antisense strand is the complementary strand of RNA?
Super super super nice explanation.
Helps to see it all together with translation and everything. Thankyou! Great use of terminology too, you sound like my teacher but in a good way.
Hi Serena
Really happy to know that the video helped. Thank you so much:)
very nice explanation
Man, I hate whoever decided to call the template strand the *non-coding* strand. It *is* where the code is coming from and yet we call it non-coding. I have to keep looking this nomenclature up every time I deal with nucleotides thanks to this mismatch :D
Omg, thank you for making this comment. I was so confused about this and you just cleared it up for me :)
So which part used for creating mRNA?
Thnku so much
thank you! very useful
thank you so much
Quick comment; just noticed that the beginning of the video shows a G paired with an A on the last codon. That "A" should be a C, right?
Sam Plant
Great observation Sam, It was a mistake on my part. Thanks for pointing it out...
biologyexams4u thank u
Sam Plant you should be a doctor
Hahaha thanks I am actually going to medical school in the fall!
Congratulations Sammy! ! !
I wish you the very best~!
Please do everything you can for your future patients; as you should. Heck Yeah man I'm so happy for your!!! I'm already in my third semester working on an MD degree!! Did you know that α- Bungarotoxin, is present in the Comon krait’s venom & is a bad-ass powerful neurotoxin, that binds irreversibly to Acetylcholine receptors?
AlsoLearn the diff between parasympathetic & sympathetic nerves (to the point of where you know where ACh ends up at nicotinic receptors(all parasympathetic)&where NE ends up at muscarinic receptors(Post-ganglionic Sympathetic, but first it's Ach... you'll know what I mean if you just look it up = ).
ALSO
Bro, if you roll up *pharmacology+genetics+biochemistry+anatomy+immunology+pathology* all into one neat ball of easter egg wisdom it's this: Learn all the *X-linked diseases*... Dominant & Recessive X-Linked diseases are all X-linked diseases. TAKES ONE WEEK. But one lifetime to trully understand THE MAGNITUDE OF THE SHEAR VOLUME OF PEOPLE AffectEd. A lot of people are sick with these; and you gotta be able to spot them out.
Understand which test is used to identify each(as you will be ordering test at hospitals, and you better damn well know them just like the guys in house ex.: ASO, ELISA, FISH, Southern Blot(DNA), Northern Blot(RNA), Western blot(Protein), no eastern blot exist yet, etc.). Yes this means know *ALL* of the X-linked recessive diseases(united states medical licensing examination USMLE tester's favorite questions + every single class you ever take will have these diseases at one point or another!), ALL X-linked Dominant diseases... *there's only a "few.“* If you know all those diseases what do you know? *You know that every OTHER disease in the history of the universe is recessive.* YOu'll blow everyone away. You will have to know the specifics of every disease. That usually boggles the minds of newbies. But you do you it and you go on living. Plus if you go into med school knowing ALL THAT about X linked diseases You know that information DOES NOT CHANGE...(it’s usually a BIG deal when a new X-linked disease is discoved; all the scientist are in an uproar and every doctor everywhere everywhere talks about it, because that’s what you do). Yeah basicall that X-linked info hasn't for decades & ALL good doctors know it(all med schools students do know them at one point(or else they miss points on tests) so KNOW THEM NOW WHILE YOU STILL HAVE FREE TIME!!!) Also Learn the difference between Phosphofructokinase-2 vs. PFK-1(phosphofrucktokinase1-->rate limiting step in glycolysis)... look up Dr. Mungli HE"S THE Booossss Sauce ! Know brachial plexus now while you still can & the absolute best anatomy books (so I hear) are Netters Clinical 3rd edition, Moore essential clinical anatomy (i think 7th edition), plus any tortora books bro. This will get you off on an okay standing... Furthermore, this cartoon called hellsing said once, "You ARE a Human, Just like me... & just LIKE ME Within YOU resides a Human Soul, & A~HUMAN'S~WILL ~ Precious beyond ALL Worth..." Just, if I can give you any advice it would be= *Learn All that you can learn, so that you may do your absolute best for your future patients."* Also *Wield the courage to speak; do the right thing; after death we live forever since we Triumphed over Death! Everything which dies does so, because at one point it was BORN!!!!* That last one I came up with, but it's basically a word by word interpretation of this one song called, "Ojos color sol." by - Calle 13. The song translated literally means, "eyes the color of the sun." Good luck in school! ~peace. I got exams monday morning bro~~~!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! =, )
1:02 "Thymine is replaced by... your a*sehole" xD
+Charlemagne I ahahahahahah
I literally laughed out loud in the middle of the library hearing it
good mnemonic
omg thank you very much
thank you one mistake FYI the third to the last nucleotide on the antisense strand of the DNA should be a C not an A.
I don't know but it was very difficult to hear exactly what he was enunciation to find it helpful.
thank you so so much, I needed this

Thank you for your support
Amazing, thank u
Thank you too!
Thank you!!!!!!
You're welcome!
Amazing 👌❤️😍
Glad you like it: thank you so much for your support:)
Sounds like he is speaking through nose, but anyways, video is very helpful, thanx.
2:30
Gac is wrong, shouldbe uac
You are right....Great observation Tantrum, It was a mistake on my part. Thanks for pointing it out...:)
GAC is correct on the sense strand and should be CTG on the antisense (template) instead of ATG as it is now in the video, so GAC---CTG----GAC----Asp, so
GAC on the mRNA which will code for Asp amino acid.
I want to tell everyone that Jesus Christ loves you all and He sees you. Jesus Christ is the only way to Heaven. He will be coming back soon "Jesus coming back soon" is not a myth it's actually true, please let's get ready for His coming, He is coming to take His children that obey Him to Heaven, a better place, He doesn'twant us to go to hell. Read Romans 10: 9-17 in the Bible, ask God to come into your hearts ask Him to forgive you of your sins, help you never to go back to them and He should make you a blessing. Anything not in the right place in your life tell Him He will put it in other for you anything you want, tell it to Him He will answer you,ask this of God in the name of Jesus Christ and end your prayer with, AMEN(meaning so shall it be).If you prayed this prayer you are now a child of God. 🥳🎊 .He cares about you.
Thank you😊.
dont explain again dude
This video would be great if I could actually understand what the hell is being said!! Narrators accent is so heavy and he talks so fast all this video did was leave me scratching my head!! Such a shame!
SL Edwards Really appreciate your concern. Still, I think you can follow it as I have written everything in the slide itself. To understand the concept, i believe this will help. Definitely, my accent may not be liked by everyone as english is not my mother tounge. But my intention is to make it simple and understandable. Thanks for the visit and the comment..
I think it was a good video! Like he said, it's all written out. No need for that here man.
Let's hope he eventually got it = )
He is perfectly understandable. I think you're just being a bitch for no reason.
Some ppl just like things handed to them on a plate all the time. The video was thurough and simple yes the accent is heavy but I was still able to follow along just fine thanks for the video btw
