10 years, that's cool. I'm sorry to hear you had to stop playing. I have wanted to learn ever since I heard B.B King as a little boy and watching the movie Cross Roads
HEY Guitarman!!! Yes, the green is the one. A coworker of mine yesterday asked me if I had any green sugarcane. I said not not, but I gave her some of the other one. How long have you played the guitar? I took lessons and stopped. I keep looking at my guitars. Maybe one day I will try again.
I grabbed a stalk from the fields near baton rouge.all you can see is a sea of sugar cane. I hope it lasts till I get home I'll try to plant it Thanks!
HEY Rawhoney!!! That is awesome. It will last for sure. I wait a while before I plant sometimes. I wish I could see a sea of sugar cane, I would lose it, LOL.
Two tips: Stop filling the planter 4 inches below the soil level. Place your cane seed with the nodes up and then cover your cane with the remaining soil. This with make planting easier. Always place the nodes towards the sky.
thanks for doing a taste test. i didn’t know there were different cane colors.
YOU are welcome, Curlykiki!!!
Thank you. I live in Texas and have access to green sugar cane and was wondering if it would be worth it. Awesome video!!!!!

Enjoy gardening
Yes it's fun to do.

Thanks for watching!
Hey, I remember as a kid my parents got a hold of sugar cane. It was so good. I wish I can grow it in my area. Awesome video
What zone are you in are you leaving them outside over winter
I am in zone 8a. They will not grow up until it gets warm.
You only use manure and fertilizer? Are you layering the cane or are you just putting one layer then soil in the container?
Hey Brandy!!! Yes, that's all I am using. You are correct. I am just putting them on one layer of soil and then covering them up.
Where can I get sugar cane seeds from
HEY Willie!!! I don't know where to get seeds but on esty people sell the stalks for planting.
