Also, a heavy gel medium holds WONDERFULLY well for gluing down heavy items, like all those wonderful embellishments.

When the glue gun died I switched to Helmand 450 glue

These are mostly from my husbands garage. Old keys, nails, screws. Some I bought from scrapbook stores
What did you use for the black that you mixed with the brown?
It was just ordinary black acrylic paint. Any black will do. This one was Jo Sonja’s black
Where do you find all those little "things"? They're all fascinating!
All over the place. Some I've purchased from hardware stores and scrapbook stores, others are just laying around like screws, nails etc. paperclips

Lovely piece! ^___^ Love the layering and textures. So gorgeous. One thing I wanted to know was how you got that embossed effect at the middle of the piece. The video cuts too fast at 1:59 , so it suddenly shows the embossed effect already there.
Hi there, thanks for your lovely comment. I actually had pre-embossed a piece of card cut a little bigger than the inside of the frame and glued it in there. It slips under the frame a little way so you can't see the edges :)

Where do you get the 'metallic wax' you use near the end to give a copper look? Please be specific about brands & what to look for when shopping for wax. Thanks.

Belíssimo, qual é a tinta spray que vc usa? No vídeo é muito rápido e não deu para ver a marca/fabricante.

Rosa Maria I used white gesso, Dylusions paint, melted chocolate, black acrylic paint. Colorbloom sprays: golden walnut, tea stain and gilded. Art Alchemy metallique wax: rich copper and Bronze Age and Lindys stamp gang spray screamin Banshee Black
what kind of glue are you using?
Awesome! Any suggestions on a fixative? I find that my artwork scrapes off the frame very easily.
Hi Laura, yes, I usually use a hot glue gun and failing that (when it breaks :) ) I use a 450 glue or Aleens Tacky glue
Hi Brigitte thanks for responding. I was thinking more along the lines of a finished piece. Not really stuff falling off, but just a way to add a finishing layer so gesso etc doesn't scrape off easily.
Oh, right you mean like a fixative? The only thing I could suggest would be a mat fixative spray. I've never used one so I'm not able to speculate on whether it would work. You could try a test area to see. The other thing you could try could be to paint a layer of laquer over the top once everything was completely dry
You could also brush on a clear soft gel medium over your finished work.
Couldn't you use mod podge Matt, I find it dries and hardens very well

Hi there. I used an embossing folder on some cream coloured card and cut it to fit in the inside. i just glued it in :). Thank you for your lovely comment. Happy for you to share my video

I collect these from all over. Clock attachments, nuts bolts screws. Some I bought at scrapbooking shops
