One suggestion for you: if some players are rated with the same punctuation, you could just state they are tied for a specific rank. For example: players 15 to 20 are all rated with a punctuation of 86. Thus, you could rank all of them "tied for 15th best player" of your list. Just a suggestion! Thanks a lot! Also, it would be fun to know, at how many points the "elite", "star", "stud" and "good starters" start. I thin the elite tier starts somewhere around 90 points. I keep forgetting that. Best regards!
I think the best way to describe the value of NT re: PFF is that a 60 grade for a NT is equal to 2 defenders doing their job adequately. A 68-rated NT does the job of 2 defenders better than adequately. It switches the numbers advantage to the defense.

People seem to forget that they have made the playoffs 4 years in a row and won their division 3 years in a row. They beefed up their O-Line, added to the WR & RB rooms and have an upgrade at OC calling plays. I really think they have a better team this year than last year and should be enough to be Atlanta.

Marcus, again great analysis especially on the players and offense versus defense. I agree the Bucs have the worst run game of the NFL and the edges are also mediocre at best (no stud number 1). I only feel you overrated the contribution of Dave Canales (both his positive contribution to the Panthers as well as the drop off towards Liam Coen). I would have expected the Bucs to be higher (between 18 - 22 range) as I expect the O-line to be better and the receiver group is also better than you rated them.
As a Vikes fan, if we drafted Winfield Jr. instead of Gladney (RIP), we would have been a dynamo with him and Jefferson. It hurts even more knowing we didn’t even keep Anthony Harris after 2020-2021.

23 for the Bucs is surprising but I understand how your calculations worked out. 1. You clearly gave Baker's grade based on his whole season performance, which had some awesome flashes but a lot of inconsistency, especially in the first part of the year. If you were grading him based on his late season and playoff performances, I think it should be higher. I think the image a lot of bucs fans have is that he spent the early part of the year figuring things out after two years of chaos he endured, and the Baker we see this season will be more consistent. I believe this is true as well, but I don't blame you for not giving him the benefit of the doubt. 2. Since Liam Coen is a new OC, you had to rank him really low, and that drags the offensive grade down a ton. It wouldn't be fair to give him a high rating since he hasn't proven anything, so I don't disagree with your grade, but I also don't expect him to be one of the bottom 3-5 OC's in the league all year. If Liam Coen turns out of be at least an average OC, the Bucs offensive rank will surely go up. TLDR: If Baker Mayfield can be more consistent and Liam Coen does a good job this year, this team is better than 23rd best team in the NFL. But if Baker repeats the same inconsistencies as last year and Liam Coen struggles as an OC, this rating is accurate. 23 is this team's floor.
Liam Coen literally made Kentucky's offense one of the best in the SEC and just had a bad QB he's one of the only OCs to get them to 50 TDs n was in some of the top rankings in SEC n college Football offensively. Baker's never had consistency because his coordinators were never consistently good he's finally got an actual good one who will lead a top offense this year
Reminder Marcus is very high on Trey McBride, James Connor, and Kyler Murray. Not to mention Marvin Harrison. The cards may clock in as a top 12 passing game

It’s not so much about the competition in the division. Baker has more wins in the playoffs than Carr and Cousins combined, which isn’t bragging about Baker, but pointing out what we have always known about the other two. They don’t show up big games, and most of Carr’s numbers come in garbage time, yet still coming up short. Cousins is coming to a new team, new coach and new OC (that has never called plays before). Different than Roger’s, his injury was on his pushoff foot. They may have an easy schedule, but it’s the back half of their schedule that is easiest (by far). It will take a while to get used to one another… the Falcons could be easily behind 0-2 against the Bucs before they get on the same page
Reasons why it isn't the cardinals yet: Kyler Murray for the whole season Improved offense/ Marvin Harrison Jonathan Gannon proved he's a solid coach Defense was scrappy last year with nobody and it got better
We won’t know until the season starts, I could see Tykee in the slot, and while the Jets used Whitehead more as a free safety… he proved in his time with the Bucs that he is a huge hitter (who the Bucs pulled off the field in obvious passing down)… and while the potential of playing dime, that has never been Bowles plan With Dean moving into CB1, you would expect him to have more press coverage (which is his strength)…. McCullom had more snaps than any of the outside DBs, and while he is obviously still learning… there were too many games were he was better than Davis… so the Bucs will end up with 2 outside corners with 4.3 speed… but all the corners need to learn how to catch the ball. Listen to any interviews with McCollum… super intelligent… although no one will ever identify him as an alpha (but then again Mike Evans is a team first player yet has put up 10 consecutive 1000 yard seasons). I’d put the secondary far ahead in ranking relative to ILB Tykee played the Star position… and the consensus was he was the MVP of a spectacular defence… Bowles is going to enjoy having Tykee Whitehead and Winfield on the field together as anyone of them could be sent into the backfield

Was mayfields season a one off? Idk they got pieces on offense. The defense is what worries me. They lost Carlton Davis via trade. Shaq Barrett gone. Devin white gone. Some guys gotta step up. I like McCollum. I like Winfield. Izien was solid. The pass rush has to step up as well. But if they can hang with Atlanta they got a chance to repeat.
No Mayfield has always been good he just needed the right system and yea everyone thinks our losses are bad we got rid of everyone we needed to those losses you named aren't gonna hurt us as much as they could have I believe we'll have a decent starter at CB2 We have some great pass rushers in Yaya Diaby, Vita, Calijah Kancey and now Chris Braswell its a young group but its full of dawgs white isn't that good and we have enough good nickel players and safety play to keep the secondary solid with tykee smith Izien and Whitehead in those spots

Each Deep Dive I say “gotta be the Cardinals” and every time I’m very pleasantly surprised. I know Marcus is high on Murray and I love him for that but clearly he’s kinda high on the rest of the team/coaching and that makes me so happy. Go Cards but I’ll say it, next DD gotta be the Cardinals (fingers crossed it’s not lol)

Marcus dang man.... Why wont you just give Jamel Dean a 90 rating? Hes one of the most consistent corners in the league from the snap to snap basis and has to my research never given up more than 500 yards nor 4 TDs in one season.
Tied that up with him being such an excellent run defender im still shocked you haven't given him a 90
He's made of glass and that does lower his overall grade

23 for the Bucs is surprising but I understand how your calculations worked out.
1. You clearly gave Baker's grade based on his whole season performance, which had some awesome flashes but a lot of inconsistency, especially in the first part of the year. If you were grading him based on his late season and playoff performances, I think it should be higher. I think the image a lot of bucs fans have is that he spent the early part of the year figuring things out after two years of chaos he endured, and the Baker we see this season will be more consistent. I believe this is true as well, but I don't blame you for not giving him the benefit of the doubt.
2. Since Liam Coen is a new OC, you had to rank him really low, and that drags the offensive grade down a ton. It wouldn't be fair to give him a high rating since he hasn't proven anything, so I don't disagree with your grade, but I also don't expect him to be one of the bottom 3-5 OC's in the league all year. If Liam Coen turns out of be at least an average OC, the Bucs offensive rank will surely go up.
TLDR: If Baker Mayfield can be more consistent and Liam Coen does a good job this year, this team is better than 23rd best team in the NFL. But if Baker repeats the same inconsistencies as last year and Liam Coen struggles as an OC, this rating is accurate. 23 is this team's floor.
Well baker has never been consistently good. He’s on the Andy dalton line and that will likely never change for the better
Liam Coen literally made Kentucky's offense one of the best in the SEC and just had a bad QB he's one of the only OCs to get them to 50 TDs n was in some of the top rankings in SEC n college Football offensively. Baker's never had consistency because his coordinators were never consistently good he's finally got an actual good one who will lead a top offense this year

It’s not so much about the competition in the division.
Baker has more wins in the playoffs than Carr and Cousins combined, which isn’t bragging about Baker, but pointing out what we have always known about the other two. They don’t show up big games, and most of Carr’s numbers come in garbage time, yet still coming up short.
Cousins is coming to a new team, new coach and new OC (that has never called plays before). Different than Roger’s, his injury was on his pushoff foot. They may have an easy schedule, but it’s the back half of their schedule that is easiest (by far). It will take a while to get used to one another… the Falcons could be easily behind 0-2 against the Bucs before they get on the same page

Kyler Murray for the whole season
Improved offense/ Marvin Harrison
Jonathan Gannon proved he's a solid coach
Defense was scrappy last year with nobody and it got better

We won’t know until the season starts, I could see Tykee in the slot, and while the Jets used Whitehead more as a free safety… he proved in his time with the Bucs that he is a huge hitter (who the Bucs pulled off the field in obvious passing down)… and while the potential of playing dime, that has never been Bowles plan
With Dean moving into CB1, you would expect him to have more press coverage (which is his strength)…. McCullom had more snaps than any of the outside DBs, and while he is obviously still learning… there were too many games were he was better than Davis… so the Bucs will end up with 2 outside corners with 4.3 speed… but all the corners need to learn how to catch the ball. Listen to any interviews with McCollum… super intelligent… although no one will ever identify him as an alpha (but then again Mike Evans is a team first player yet has put up 10 consecutive 1000 yard seasons).
I’d put the secondary far ahead in ranking relative to ILB
Tykee played the Star position… and the consensus was he was the MVP of a spectacular defence… Bowles is going to enjoy having Tykee Whitehead and Winfield on the field together as anyone of them could be sent into the backfield
And the crazy thing is your forgetting Izien who's a stud too so a lot of guys are in that room
Everyone is talking about the Cardinals. Am I the only one not surprised that they haven’t been revealed? Do we forget how good Kyler and all of these weapons are. Yes the defense may not be deep playoff run caliber but we’re not talking about Super Bowl just playoff contenders

Was mayfields season a one off? Idk they got pieces on offense. The defense is what worries me. They lost Carlton Davis via trade. Shaq Barrett gone. Devin white gone. Some guys gotta step up. I like McCollum. I like Winfield. Izien was solid. The pass rush has to step up as well. But if they can hang with Atlanta they got a chance to repeat.
No Mayfield has always been good he just needed the right system and yea everyone thinks our losses are bad we got rid of everyone we needed to those losses you named aren't gonna hurt us as much as they could have I believe we'll have a decent starter at CB2 We have some great pass rushers in Yaya Diaby, Vita, Calijah Kancey and now Chris Braswell its a young group but its full of dawgs white isn't that good and we have enough good nickel players and safety play to keep the secondary solid with tykee smith Izien and Whitehead in those spots
