I just did a frame up on a 92 haven’t rode it yet or any quadracer, fmf and 38pwk, I’ve got banshee raptor yfz, what should I exspect from this quadracer? Can’t wait to ride it
@@evanwilliams2602 It should run okay. The FMF exhaust works best with the stock Mikuni TM34. What kind of riding will you be doing with it? Around 35HP on a 300lb quad is what to expect as long as the engine is fresh and the carb is dialed in well.
I loved my 87 quad racer... It literally set the stage for quads. The quadzilla couldn't be touched. Friend, you have to do one on the TRX450R. The real game changer!! Indestructible transmission, and incredible handling.
I have many high performance 3 wheelers from the mid 80s and their danger and supposed instability are overstated. Just like every motorized machine, you have to learn how to ride them. Plus the evolution of tire technology soon made them safer. The early design--big balloon tires on a small rim--made them bouncy and imprecise in their handling. By the mid 80s, however, the rims got bigger and the tires had a flatter profile. They made the handling more precise and predictable. You see the design change in the 250s especially. Unfortunately, it came too late.
No, lawyers and the Consumer Product Safety Commission killed 3 wheelers. Stupid parents let their little kids ride them without helmets and unsupervised. When they got hurt they sued Honda.
I've owned two Quadracers. A 86 that I restored and heavily modded and a 87 that I restored and still own. They are great bikes and pretty unrated I feel. Honda pretty much dominated the field back in the day.
My '92 LT250r is a very different animal than the original '85. Suzuki did a great job updating the LT250r over the years.

Had 2 of em 85 and 86 non power valve . They where faster than they get credit for . Cool Vid !
It doesn't take much to wake up a 85-86 my dad had a 85 I still have my 86
They absolutely are. They run very good once tuned up a bit. I have 2 86's and 3 blue motors. The 86's definitely can compete.
I miss these old days when everyone made a competing model for everything imaginable
Only sport/race type 2wd quads are the Yamaha 450 and 700, everyone buys a side by side or big 4wd quads and lost interest in motocross on 4 wheels
I would love to see a video covering the later model LT250r and also one for the LT500r Quadzilla.
Yes! I was thinking the same thing!! And the 230 quad sport
Perfect Sunday night wind down video. Thanks again
I’m glad you enjoyed it!

Great review. 3 wheelers are cool but too unstable imo.

Was it Nancy Reagan who killed the 3 wheelers?

Definitely had to mod these they were a turd stock
Cool video, a Tecate 4 video would be awesome that atv never got a ton of attention
