      I have started one.
I just find it difficult to edit, and be consistent.
I’m a chicken, afraid of being judged! I see how rude and very mean people can be to UA-camr!

For 25 years, people told me to get a REAL job. I was an independent housekeeper.
Like everybody else I made money, green money, issued by the U.S. Treasury. Yes Like everybody else I paid bills, bought food. Helped support my family.
People think you have to work for somebody else and get paid by them to have a real job
I was the person I worked for that got jobs and paid myself😊
Proud of you girl. You are a good speaker

No problem speaking publicly. My problem with beginning my own YT channel is that I am incredibly private. I can't imagine sharing my life online. However, if I were to lose my job, I would jump in there with some "quiet" crafting, sewing, and crochet work.

Doing youtube is super fun, but the editing part takes a lot of time, anyone that says is not a real job has never done the process of creating a youtube video. From having the idea, writting a script, filming, choosing music, editing, uploading, and filling out all the things for youtube it takes days just for one 15 minutes video. Congrats, you are doing what you feel is best for your family and yourself, hugs from Chile

I'm super proud of you! My mom was a single mother in the 80's & 90's. The only way to make more money back then was to get a better paying "real job"😆. She went to law school WHILE working full-time. Then, she had to deal with all the stress of working a high pressure 9-5. You are blessed. Don't let anyone deter you from your goals.♥️🇨🇦

There have always been people who are tremendously keen to tell others what to do and to hand out judgements if you don’t conform.I don’t think this will change anytime soon as it’s a kind of disease of self righteousness we all have to put up with as they trumpet on.

Short story…years ago I had to make a 45 minute presentation about my employer at a conference. My anxiety was out the roof, because I had weeks to prepare and I was terrified! I had a coworker offer some of her “anxiety medication “ to take 30 minutes prior to my presentation. Well, to this day I cannot tell you what I said! But apparently it went well. I received one of the top presentation awards for the conference!😂😂😂😂😂😂😂. I’m not a public speaker 😅. I would never do that again! Love your videos Katie❤

Haters gotta hate, and most of them are probably jealous. Still, it's hard to be criticized. I'm a private person and could never do what you do but admire you for it. I loved your speech class video! I had to take a speech class in college too, way back in the 80's. I got so nervous and upset about having to stand up in front of people and speak that I broke out in hives! I passed the class, but I hated it! Regarding people telling you to get a real job, I think some of it might be a generational thing. I'm at the very end of the baby boomer generation and the only way I knew to make money was to work for a company unless you wanted to own your own business. But in the past decade or so there are so many more ways to make money other than getting a 9-5 job. Obviously, you have figured out how to make money and support your family without a traditional job. You should be very proud of everything that you have accomplished!

I definitely agree it is a generation thing. Technology and the internet has opened up so many more opportunities (and, honestly, closing others) - we have to be adaptable now.

You make videos simply -- just with your phone and simple editing. I would love to take a simple overview course on how to make simple videos like that and put them on youtube.
Another content creator has something like that -- but he's a lot more complicated in his approach to how to make videos, how to put them on youtube, and how to monetize. His course is way out of my budget. If you could make a brief and simple course that's less than $100, I think this would be a great way for others to feel like they have a beginning foundation to step into.

The idea that it's "risky" to start your own business is funny to me. If you own your own business and you make a bad decision you can go and make adjustments and new decisions to course correct. When you work for someone else you are stuck with their bad decisions and the ego that goes with it that also makes them not want to course correct because their ego won't let them. More often then not you don't even realize a bad decision was made until the lay off's come and there is nothing you can do about it. So it seems to me that the MORE risky thing to be doing is to be working for someone else.

This is my first time watching your UA-cam video. I didn’t find it informative, entertaining or interesting. Please come up with better content and then let me know so I can see if you are wasting my time or not. My time is valuable. Just being honest and transparent. Thanks.

    Hi Katie!
This video is so encouraging to me to start making videos again on my channel!
    Thank you for the encouragment!
I could show our successful first season of our honey bees, and all the honey we have collected!
    I love this video!

I would love to learn more about honey bees! We are super interested in starting a hive or two this spring. We've been going to all the bee festivals around us and talking to everyone we can about it. I would definitely watch!
