  • In one square mile in the center of Holland, you will find many prehistoric traces. Near the village of Elst, on Plantation Willem III. Here is a beautiful meltwater valley, a relic of the ice age. At the top of the valley are several burial mounds from the Bronze Age.
We explore the valley that now has a steppe-like appearance and is home to deer, konik horses and foxes, among others. In the first half of the twentieth century there was a thriving tobacco culture. Plantation Willem III was a tobacco plantation. Be transported to old times in current images.
At the end of this video I introduce a series of short videos titled Holland Offroad. In them I show beautiful places not mentioned in the Lonely Planet. For all people - anywhere in the world - who would like to discover Holland offroad.
