- Welcome to our Memphis Series pt 2. Follow along as we give you a tour of the Graceland Mansion as well as some of the exhibits at Graceland Property. This is just a quick snip of some of the things you see while on the tour. If you wanted to see and read all the information it would take a solid day or 2!
The Graceland Property is BEAUTIFUL. If you have never visited you need to. There is so much to see and learn.

3rd time wow how lucky are you. Beautiful Graceland amazing how everything is still there omg the cars his costumds i dont think any of them are "ugly" thanks for showing from Australia 🦘 at the top.. ❤ 🙏.
Actually the interior decor of the mansion at the time of his death was red, black and gold - Elvis favorite colors. Priscilla changed all of the downstairs before it opened to the public. Apparently upstairs is exactly as it was the day he died, even the last recird he listened to is still on the record player.

Not all the cars are on display at Graceland, the same with not all of his items being on display. This is for a couple of reasons 1) sometimes his cars get used for display for so,etching else that Elvis did or enjoyed that was not always at Graceland. I know Las Vegas had a few items from of his on display. This could of changed from a couple of years ago. Secondly, his car collection as well as his personal belongings were so big that they can’t put them all on display so what they do is when appropriate they will swap them out.
Minnie Mae’s room was actually Gladys’ room first before she passed in 1958. Then it became Minnie Mae’s room.

Lisa Maries' room was not the back left window when looking from the backyard. Her room is above the Jungle Room, which is top right
The greenhouse you show in the backyard was not Elvis's dad's house his house was to the left of that

Thank you for sharing your experiences; however, you have a few inaccuracies. First, Elvis’s first recording was My Happiness in 1953. And That’s Alright (Mama) in 1954, became first hit. Also, he recorded his final “album” - not record - in the Jungle Room. That’s a big difference. Also, Priscilla is not the brains behind saving Graceland. She is only the spokesperson/face. Jack Soden and a team of real estate/financial experts are.
Yes and he paid for that house in full when he bought. So it never needed to be “saved.” And maintaining a mansion in Memphis isn’t that expensive. Elvis had 5 million dollars when he died. Some people think that’s chump change. But I’m sure they used it for court battles and to open up the museum.
Priscilla took initiative took make a living for herself and Lisa. It seems she can’t retire nowadays.
@@sarahthomas2303 That’s right-too many people give Priscilla too much credit (I am not a hater), but giving credit where credit is due is also not done fairly. Also, Elvis did not leave anything for Priscilla in his Will that Ginger Alden witnessed (nothing for Ginger either). Priscilla was not to use the Presley name either. However, she managed to swindle (after Vernon passed) that one too.

Its right in Gingers book too which made her insecure cos Elvis was close to Priscilla. Graceland was going into foreclosure with so much debts, Vernon and Priscilla were close. you can see photos of them. Graceland cost $500,000 a year to maintain. Even Lisa did blunders with GL which had to be saved. Priscilla was the last standing member of the family to come to the rescue. Elvis had cousins and former girlfriends.. oh ya Ginger and Saint Linda. why not all these angels and saints come to the rescue when Graceland ran into trouble? where were they when Vernon was in his last two years alone after Elvis died. strange nobody came. today everyone is talking of how much Elvis loved them, blood relations etc. only Cilla had the balls to save the place cos it was his sanctuary and her daughters property. NOBODY In the whole wide world cared after Elvis died. now that its successful people comment.
@@alittlelessconversation I agree with you totally. Some think she worked her tail off reviving Graceland and that she should still be co-trustee for the twins. Also that she deserves that $900,000 a year restarted which I believe she's gotten way too much already. She has her son that she probably has to continue support for financially. Elvis's money nor Graceland should ever be put in the hands of Pris nor her son Navarone or Michael Lockwood. I pray God watches over Graceland and those twins.

It has been changed Elvis changed everything in a couple rooms it was like 6 months before he died maybe longer but Priscilla changed it back to what it was like when she was there and she said she lightened the colors in the living room a little to make it brighter
Yes his GF after Priscilla changed the colour scheme to red and gold, but Priscilla changed it back to what was there for the first 18yrs. It’s all in the documentary “Elvis Presleys Graceland”

just to mention the only change to Graceland is the new steel fence on the entrance!!! if you look at the pic's from the 60"s it was a stone wall!!!!

From 1969 to 1977 he always had a male gospel quartet, a female gospel/soul group called the Sweet Inspirations (who incidentally backed Aretha Franklin - Whitney Houston's mother Cissy was in that group but by this time she had left) and he always had a clasically-trained Soprano - here it is Kathy Westmoreland. Gospel music and voices were his air and water x

The original red & gold furniture used to be displayed there but don’t know if it still is.
They do put the red curtains up at Christmas time to make it look more festive!
I actually wondered if the upstairs will be opened up to the public now Lisa Marie has passed as it was her wish it not be opened.

Bonjour je suis français je n’ai jamais été aux États Unis je ne parle pas l’anglais, j’aime beaucoup Elvis Presley c’est chansons, les films. j’aimerais un jour visiter 1034 Audubon Drive que Elvis a acheté en 1956, j’aimerais visiter aussi sun record le studio et bien sûr Graceland. Vraiment Elvis avait une voix magnifique. J’ai vu le film Elvis si j’avais une machine à remonter le temps, j’irai en 1956 et je vire le colonel Parker et je prend sa place.

My wife and I stayed for 2 weeks also we stayed 1 night in his highschool apartment in the old Lauderdale courts in his actual bed with hundreds of kisses on his wall it was $250 a night you can do this also , he died in his bathroom. Did you see Elvis Presley movies every night in the guest house theater ?.
Austin Butler was also upstairs in the bedrooms Lisa Marie took him upstairs and they spent time talking about Elvis Austin told the story while on the tonight show with Jimmy Fallon
Yes, him and Nicolas cage. They also filmed a movie after Elvis passed that showed his room

Jesse is NOT buried at Graceland. Jesse is buried in an unmarked grave in Mississippi. That is only a marker in his memory at Graceland.
Correct only the family know where Jessie is laid to rest and they are not saying from fear that some grave robber would dig the poor child up

I can definitely tell that this person is not knowledgable about Elvis. The mansion is not how it was when Elvis died. It is decorated how it was in years before his death.
@@kipshondel3868 100@ correct the carpet was red the curtains were red the walls I believe were a off white when he first got it I’m pretty sure the walls were like a lite powder blue if I remember right I might be wrong my aunt just gave me one of the original dolls that used to belong to my grandmother the one with him in his Gold Lemay suit with the gold belt buckle and a white scarf

If you are truly going to be reading EVERYTHING in there and riding around the city I would say about 3 days! I really recommend doing the Memphis Road Tours (it was AMAZING). My vlog tomorrow has a little snippet of the tour with the info in the details of the video!
I did the Ultimate VIP tour on 8/4/23. You have a personal guide in a group of no more than 12 people. Just the guided tour took almost 4 hours and about 3.5 hours is walking the complete facility 😮. This place is massive with so much on display, it can be mind blogging.

Actually Elvis's twin is not buried these. That is just a marker. The remains have never been located.

What tour dod you guys do? How long wss it? And did you have a guide?
We have do the VIP tour where we had a guide and we have also done the self guided tour. Each one is amazing
@@cydandliv_ventures which vip tour was longer and which was better with a guide or self guide? Like how do you know where to go from place to place without a guide I'm going to visit Graceland in a few months and I'm just curious Thx! BTW thx for posting love you videos.
@@sandy8369 the self guided tour you have a headset on and your tour guide talks to you and leads you from room to room as you go through the house telling you a whole bunch of cool facts. If you do the VIP tour you also get to hold one of Elvis’ items (for example I got to hold his belt).
When you go on the self guided tour you have an iPad and headphones and John Stamos (uncle Jessie from full house) talks you through the house telling you awesome facts. There are also workers in the house that lead you in the correct direction.
It is all a super smooth process. The way you see in the video is the way you are instructed to go!

The brunette girl was uncomfortably disinterested. she was unable or unwilling to even pretend to be. She should have stayed in the hotel room. I feel sorry for the mom, she was positive and excited to share, but having an obviously bored disinterested person as one of her companions had to be a drag. and we can see at the end of the video mom had lost that exciting spark. at the same time we see the brunette smile at mom's defeat. shameful. ( and you 2 making the visit about the movie probably annoyed mom also. Austin Butler is not Elvis)

They've spoilt Graceland. We visited the original, just the house. All that has been added is not "Elvis" at all. Sorry to see it go this way.
