25:23 is such a chilling outro. With the last thing that you see being Jesse trying to burn down Walter's house, it gives off this really strong impact that is just terrifying to just say the least.
It was almost as chilling as the entire crawl space scene itself. It kept the mood going for me way after the credits ended and I've never wished I could fast forward 1 week into the future as much as I did in that moment.
19:45 FACE OFF is my personal favorite, the music sounds happy and calm sort of an “it’s all over” happy ending feeling. As at the time this was original ending to breaking bad. It’s also probably the happiest ending in the entire series of breaking bad. Shame nobody in the comments is really talking about it.
23:22 Why is no one talking about Say My Name? It is especially sad when you realize that Mike died in that episode, meaning that his grand daughter will never know what happened to him. What’s even more sad is that in the episode, his granddaughter is playing in the swings on a park. It’s just so sad how she will never know what happened and how mike never got to say goodbye or even give them the money..
There aren’t many other shows that have a seperate music peice for the credits for every episode, yet are all a reprise of the same main theme and all sound great. Breaking Bad’s soundtrack and overall production value is just insane.

Just HAVE to say I listen to this entire 30min sequence all of the time and it sure inspires me to write my own badass TV show. I can't say Breaking Bad is the #1 TV show - I just can't put anyone above The Sopranos -, but it is definitely a TV landmark. So beautiful, tragic, comic and, most of all, simple at its finest. Simple, pushed to its extremity. The soundtrack just goes with it with visceral, symbolic and addictive themes that go along with every single plot and character, like "Over", "Sunset", "Half Measures", "Confessions", "Rabid Dog", "Granite State" and many others that don't come to my mind right now. Absolutely paramount.
@@PolishGod1234 i honestly dont see it as very close. Ive seen Sopranos twice now and BrBa is just much better. Sopranos has too much filler to be put above BrBa, where every episode is totally important to the overall plot. Fly is the only one that isnt necessary to the plot, but its so good it doesnt matter. There are seasons of Sopranos that mean nothing moving forward, and theyre just okay episodes.
@@billycostigan1247 well, i think i might agree with you after further rewatching. I also think Breaking Bad is made with more quality - cinematography, camera work, sets, music selection, action, direction...
Heisenberg's Theme indeed. That particular first arrangement is called "The Long Walk Alone" which usually coincides with Walt putting on the hat, and descending into the persona of Heisenberg.
19:45 I love the moment when the music starts as a calm melody representing the good end but becomes more anxious, symbolizing the beginning of the end, which is horrific.
I love that the writers realize that the normal ending music just wouldn't fit, so they adjust appropriately when necessary and go above and beyond to make it meaningful and memorable
yeah but bcs of that I dont get it why they chose less and less OST as the show went on after s3. it was a writers decision but dave porter did such a good job i think it was the only "bad" decision. someone on the team told em after s2 they should let the picture speak for itself therefor less music...
@tomb4250 no music sometimes is better than music. It creates a gritty, grounded feeling and uncertainty which results in an eerie atmosphere. HL did it perfectly and so did BB.
Man the Ozymandias music...creepy as fuck, it looks like Heisenberg's theme played in a more hesitant way, in a empty atmosphere...It really respects the tone of the episode and the poem, where Walt lost everything. There's just nothing left.

I like how the songs played in the credits are actually related to the episode they are on,for example: S2E06 "peekaboo" that banging noise is referring to the part of the episode where Jesse is trying to open the stolen ATM machine with the fireaxe.
Wanna point something out for season 1! So all but 2 episode's end credits are songs that play over them. The quote "season 1" end credits was actually only used in Gray Matter! And what's weird is 103: And the bag's in the river, does have it's own end credits theme. It's nothing special, that episode ended with Walt about to confess to Skyler and not background song is being played so that's why there was an end theme.
Strange, unexplained feelings. The music fits so perfect with the disturbed things going on.. nothing has perfection to me, but Breaking Bad has.

I was worried it would be a _nightmare_ to find all those interesting bits of credit music, so I'm INCREDIBLY thankful that this video exists!
the one for crawl space is scary af
@FartingFatso69 oh yeah it was. Man this show was great!
Edit 1. This is not related to the show but I now realized that the beginning part is used in some scary true stories here on UA-cam lol.
And buried
I just realised the outro for Box Cutter at 13:39 has constant sharp slitting sounds in the background, makes the episode that much creepier
Is no one gonna talk about how good 20:17 is?
SERIOUSLY
Yeah exactly

There is also “Problem Dog” which is what Jesse called Gale. Later there is “Rabid Dog” which is what Jesse was ironically named.
@@manuj2868 and in Ozymandias there is a stray dog at the end when Walter drives Way. It symbolises Walt having nothing left :No home and no family.

エサヤEsaya it’s funny you say that, because the song “crawl space” includes a sound wave with a very low frequency, know to make you feel slightly sick and uncomfortable.

Gliding over all is underrated. Just moments before Hank has realized about Walt. So this song sets the battlefield between the two. Mind-blowing!
You're telling me! I have this video in my MP3 player
Very much agree, I think Sopranos is #1 and Breaking Bad is #2
Imo Breaking Bad is better than Sopranos
Incredible. I loved them while watching the show, and I love them now.
14:10 that soundtrack is sexy af
Heisenberg theme
I think that's what came on when he went go kill gus. Real badass moment.
“Go home Walter...”
The more the episodes move forward the more the music becomes dark, like Walt
One of if not the best show in history.

Bro goes away after uploading this banger
Theyre all the main theme but in the theme of the episode which i find epic how they got that done
yeah but bcs of that I dont get it why they chose less and less OST as the show went on after s3. it was a writers decision but dave porter did such a good job i think it was the only "bad" decision. someone on the team told em after s2 they should let the picture speak for itself therefor less music...

I love how the credits for half measures sound like danger is approaching- which is what happens in the show at the end of the episode.
My favorite is "Fifty-one." There's a sense that he's very dangerous and running out the clock.

21:18 still one of the biggest bangers I’ve found in a show
